My spouse and I went here to buy a king mattress and boxsprings and we were led to the ""floor models"" and were told that these showroom mattresses were also for sale at a lower price and have never been slept on, only displayed for show, so we found one we liked and purchased one of the several ""floor models"" butnonce delivered after sleeping on the mattress I was convinced , we did not receive the ""floor model"" we tried out at the store, I firmly believe we received either one of the thousands of Hurricane Katrina refugees mattresses that Hilton Koch so kindly allowed them to sleep on for months at a time in Hilton's warehouse (whatever happened to those mattresses?)or a customer's repossessed mattress, because the mattress set we had delivered was just awful! It sank down deep in the middle, in such a way as you know someone had been sleeping on the mattress for an extended amount of time...and there was absolutely no way for us to get comfortable. After backache after backache, I called the store about replacing or paying more to upgrade for a new mattress, but they were RUDE and said ""they refuse to do anything!!!!! "" So save yourself a trip to this store, In this economy, I will never shop here again. more

I bought a bedroom set and a mattress set from there, the mattress had a big yellow stain in the middle of the bed and the dresser was damaged. I have been calling for 2 weeks and no one is helping me all they wanted was my money and now they have it they don't want to fix my problem. This incident happened two months ago. I bought a living room set, and a mattress. I thought I was buying a top of the line mattress for $800.00. This did not include the frame or the box spring, just the top part. I asked the guy was this the right price and what he showed me was the floor sample. I was under the impression that I was getting a new never used mattress. When I got the delivery I did not open the mattress package right away. The following day is when I discovered that I had a used, ragedy, soiled mattress! I did call and let them know, all they said was, 'sorry'.. I went to the store and talked to the manger he called me a liar and his salesperson would never tell me it was brand new mattress. I also saw Hilton and I went to talk to him but he never came out of his office, I saw him after 30 min and he told me that's why he hire managers so talk to the manger. How RUde!!! Can you believe that. I threw the mattress away.\r \r That was a lot of money thrown away for nothing. They are not a good store to get any furniture from especially mattresses. This place is great!!! Who ever wrote the bad reviews above are crazy. My family and I lost everything in a four alarm fire wich distroyed our house we had nothing left but the clothes on our back and two 10 speed bikes. So we pedeled for miles through a hurendous hail storm to get to Hilton Furniture & Mattress just to meet with the owner. By the grace of god he was there we explained our story to him and he took pity on us. He paid for a rental car and a temporary hotel room untill we had a new house built and he furnished it for free. What a swell guy I would recomend this store to anybody. VIVA LA COMETS!!!! I purchased a couch and love seat at Hilton Furniture the very first new furniture that me & my husband ever bought, loved it the first couple of weeks then it went down hill from there the recliner foot rest padding came off, I called the store to tell them about it, I spoke to a manger name Jose who told me to bring the sofa and the loveseat to their ware house and they would fix it, when I told him that I barely bought this 2 weeks ago and we don't have a truck to bring it and the fact that we spent $1900 plus tax on the sofas and also paid $100 for delivery, he got real loud and rude with me and started screaming at me and told me I should learn how to read since their invoice clearly states that customer has to bring the furniture for all repairs back to their warehouse. Any ways we took the furniture over there on Wednesday so my husband had to get off work early, when we got there I saw the owner Hilton and decided to tell him about the rude treatment his manager had given me, he told me I should have read the Invoice before signing. I called 2 dozen time and after 3 weeks finally got the furniture ofcouse we had to go back and pick it up on there time, not mine. In 2 months the same thing happened again didn't call because it was a waste of my time. the quality of the product is very poor. I'm looking for new living room furniture and that place is not on my list.\r I have only had the furniture for 4 months in which 3 weeks it was at their warehouse. I will never shop there since I wasted more than $2200, now i know how the guy can afford to buy Comets selling cheap furniture and charging an arm and a leg for it. WoW what was that about?????? What a joke!!!!!! I went to Hilton furniture with my wife, I had heard all the radio commercials and remember the guy from TV. I had heard that he was now the owner of comets and wanted to go there when I was in the market for furniture. As soon as we stepped in the store we were attacked by these salespeople who would not stop hounding us. The prices were extremely high and I was not impressed by the quality. While we were there, there was an extremely upset customer and instead of calming the customer down the management was screaming at them and were being really rude to her. We were in the store for 20 min and when we thought we had seen it all and were ready to end this disappointing visit, we couldn't believe what we saw the guy HILTON yes the ownere of Comets and Hilton Furniture was lying on the floor in front of the door telling these 2 ladies that they can't leave and the only way they can leave is to go over his body. That was VERY STRANGE!!!!!!!!!! I have seen Hilton's commercials on TV, and when I moved I needed a new coffee table, end tables, and sofa table and I found the exact tables I was looking for at a great price! The delivery was great and the moving men were very nice and not scary at all! As a woman this is very important to know that these guys are not bad guys, and I felt safe the enitre time they were in my house. \r I highly recommend going to Hilton Furniture! He really does have great prices and the service was good as well. All in all I am very satisfied with Hilton Furniture, and I will for sure go back to buy again in the future!
