Saved My Party! 9/29/2007

I write for a travel magazine, so you can imagine how critical I can be when it comes to service and attention to detail for any consumer (especially me). Pros: Only plumbers to service late at night in an emergency, professional and CLEAN! Cons: a bit expensive, but you get what you pay for. I am someone who would pay and appreciate the Four Seasons Resorts more

worst plumbing company I've ever used! 9/7/2007

This is a horrible company!! DO NOT EVER USE THEM. I had them come out last week after floods in chicago (8/27) & was told I needed a new sumpro unit because mine was broken (later came to find it wasn't) & when I refused to buy a new one for $3,500, I was then told I would have to pay a $500 diagnostic fee for looking at it. I wrote the check and then called the owner to discuss what I was charged & after 4 phone calls & no returns, I stopped payment on the check. One week later, I received a lien notice from them. And, guess what - still no returned call after several more to them. THEY ARE TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE!!!! Pros: absolutely none more

Rip-off artists 8/28/2007

We called Bishop Plumbing on Friday August 24 2007 to pump water out of our flooded basement. They said that they could not do anything unless we had power restored and they asked us to call them back when we had power. Then they proceeded to show up in our absence (still no power) and charged us $150. They denied they ever had a conversation regarding power and gave us all kinds of lies about a "generator". Stay away! more

We called Bishop Plumbing on Friday August 24 2007 to pump water out of our flooded basement. They said that they could not do anything unless we had power restored and they asked us to call them back when we had power. Then they proceeded to show up in our absence (still no power) and charged us $150. They denied they ever had a conversation regarding power and gave us all kinds of lies about a "generator". Stay away! more

Corruption! Scam! 7/25/2007

After doing some reserach on these CON MEN I found out why they are able to get away with scamming all these people. You will see that of all the reviews EVERYONE gives these thieves 1 star because each one of these reviewers have been conned or scammed. The only one that gives them 5 stars writes in all caps and says ""always use union plumbing"". Hello... that review was written by one of these cons. Pros: They can schedule appointments quickly. Cons: They are con men and did NOT fix the problem we hired them to. more

We called Bishop Plumbing on Tuesday, June 26th, 2007 during the flooding that occurred in Chicago on that day. After repeated calls (they kept telling us they were 10 minutes away), due to the emergency of our situation we decided to cancel the service call (after waiting more than 2 hours). We received a charge for $129.95 and thought it was just a mistake. After more than 3 calls to the company to get the charges reversed, they said they would not reverse the charges since they were only 2 minutes away when we cancelled. Even though they did not perform any services nor ever even make it to our home we find it unbelievable that they would not reverse the charges. I would not recommend using this company under any circumstances whatsoever. Pros: none Cons: charged us for no services rendered more

This company is full of scam artists. Their plumber came to my house and said he would ""diagnose the problem"" for $350, which involved shutting down the water in the house. This company is full of scam artists. Their plumber came to my house and said he would "diagnose the problem" for $350, which involved shutting down the water in the house. He couldn't figure out how to shut down the water, so they charged me $350 for 15 minutes worth of work and said they'd put a "lien on my property" if I didn't pay. Businesses like this should be weeded out like all con-artist thieves who have no desire to earn money by doing good hard work and instead manipulate the consumer. Don't make the same mistake I did - avoid this company at all costs. Pros: They'll get to your house quickly. Cons: They're scammers and do not do good (if any) work. more

I WOULD RATHER PAY A LITTLE MORE KNOWING THAT I AM GETTING THE JOB DONE RIGHT BY A LICENSED PLUMBER. THIS COMPANY IS GREAT!!!! C'mon....this isn't Brain Surgery!! 6/24/2007

I too made the fatal error of calling the company with the biggest ad in the Yellow Pages. Now I know how they can afford it. $750 to rod a sewer line!!!---I should of just said no and ate the $70 ""just-to-walk-in-the-door"" charge...it still would have been way cheaper in the long run with another company. DO NOT, I REPEAT, DO NOT USE BISHOP PLUMBING & TELL ALL YOUR FRIENDS & FAMILY!!!!! This is the only way we can fight back. more
