If you're reading this, you're probably a parent, so you've probably already gone "Aha!" But if not, this is the PERFECT place to take your child when their fever spikes in the middle of the night and the medicine isn't helping, and they're miserable and can't tell you what hurts. Or those weekends when the doctor on call tells you if it gets worse to take them to the emergency room, and you're worried that you should be bringing them, but you're also worried that it will be just a bad flu and you'll be at the hospital for 12 hours or more.
There are sometimes long waits at Nighttime Pediatrics, which is why I can't call them "perfect". But realistically, they are as good as they can be. They usually have quite a few doctors working, and they seem to move through patients much faster than emergency rooms 2 or 3 times their size. Also, the two pediatricians we've seen there were terrific.
