Adorned with tintin paraphernalia, this charming restaurant is Belgian food at its best. The food is consistently delicious. Whether you go for brunch or dinner you will be satisfied. The omelette ardennaise, beef stew, belgian waffles, mussels are my favorites. They also have a kick ass hot chocolate. For lunch they have a half sandwich and soup special. For that I get the fresh mozzarella with sliced tomatoes. On certain nights they have a all you can eat mussel special. Call to find out ;)

You can never say you've explored the meat packing district unless you've been to Florent. They have been around for years way before everyone flocked the neighborhood. If you find yourself hungry on a late night do yourself a favor and visit. They are open 24 hours daily. The steak frites and their salads are well prepared and tasty. They also have a good brunch and prix fixe menu. Unpretentious friendly staff.. I loved the vibe. What else can I say? It's a Meat Packing District landmark. I hope things haven't changed must since I last visited.

Tried this place out with a group of friends a couple of months back. I must say Public lived up to all the hype. The lighting and decor are tasteful. The mojitos were well made. The staff was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Now the food..every dish was scrumptious! It's not the normal chicken, beef, pork, vegetable menu. Most dishes are interesting so better be ready to try things out ;) Asian, New Zealand and Middle Eastern fusion. Yummy!!!

There you can watch as the chef prepares your dish. They offer a prix fixe menu as well as ala carte.Some might complain of the small portions but for the taste and presentation it is well worth the $. Pair your dessert with wine, coffee or tea.

A couple of weeks ago my friends and I opted to come here for dinner and drinks. The restaurant/bar seemed perfect for outside seating and there was a crowd. Very bad decision on our end. Service was extremely slow. Drinks both tap beer and well took atleast 15 minutes per round (i kid you not!). The steak was stringy, tough and over cooked when I specified medium. The chocolate cake that was ordered never came. They overcharged us for food and drinks. What an awful night! I won't be coming here for awhile.

Inexpensive food, friendly staff and cute owner. Some of the dishes are a bit sketchy one just has to know what to order. I recommend the garlic chicken, shrimp with walnuts, fried lumpia and turon with green tea ice cream for dessert. They also have happy hour that lasts till 8PM. Woohoo!!!

This place is quite popular! Located on Thompson street and Houston next to Lupa. Most times we pass by there is a huge amount of people lined up. So the key here is to go for early dinner. I've been there 3 times now and every experience was awesome. I especially crave for the fatty tuna. It melts in your mouth :) Their sushi and sashimi are fresh and tasty. This place is a must try. -- Oh dont dine as a group otherwise you will wait forever.
