We started in Ed Fuller's practice13 years ago (!) within his first month of opening PetMenders and were immediately very, very pleased. Originally I was attracted to the practice because it was close to my home, and I wanted to support a vet who also has the means, via the Piper Memorial, to treat pets of low income people. I've stayed with them because Dr. Fuller is smart, personable and thorough. Dr. Todd Russell joined the practice somewhat recently and we have been equally impressed by him. If the vet isn't familiar with a treatment I've heard about elsewhere, they both encourage us to try new things, and get back to them with our results. Dr. Fuller does acupuncture which was very helpful to my geriatric, arthritic dog.
Recently our dear dog became very ill, very suddenly and both vets were understanding and helpful and worked with us and our wishes to have her at home for her last night to see if she could rally. Dr. Fuller listened to us about euthanising her and was compassionate when we did so. We miss our pooch and know the staff does too.
I highly recommend these guys for dogs, cats, lagamorphs (bunnies), rodents- don't know about birds, so call and ask.

I tried the acupuncture and massage and had a great experience. The place is clean and modern and the staff was great. I highly recommend trying acupuncture if you have never had it. The deep tissue massage was also wonderful.
Pros: Clean and Modern
Cons: What are the drawbacks?

I hate buying glasses. I can't see, so whenever I go to get glasses, I have to bring my wife who always ends up making me buy three pairs.
I've been looking for Oakley sport prescription glasses and finally called Oakley - they recommended College Optical. The staff was awesome - they had the entire Oakley line that worked for sport / prescription. They took my prescription from another optometrist, ordered the glasses, and delivered them in two weeks.
Easy, quick, and actually kind of entertaining (since my wife Amy - who did show up - wore her pajamas to the store since she didn't feel like getting dressed that day).

I am not a direct customer of Alternative Health Clinic but my cousin got hit by a car riding her bike near the university. After pain killers, therapy, her neck pain was still intense. She told me that she had found Alternative Health Clinic and they worked on her neck and back. She is feeling fine, and thankful to be away from medication.

If you're in need of an excellent personal physician in the Boulder county area, it is well worth it to consider driving into the Table Mesa Family Medicine clinic. As I'm sure you've all experienced, it is very important to have a doctor who will listen to you and not just jump to a conclusion after your first symptom is described. The Dr.'s at Table Mesa will take the extra time needed to make sure that you have all of your questions answered, and that you are comfortable with your diagnosis. I highly recommend this clinic.

I was just looking up the number and found this bad review. I HATE doctors. I went 15 years without a doctor I hate them so much. An injury forced me to find a doc.
I've seen Zara Frankel and Carol Holdcroft and would highly recommend them! They really take the time to listen and they are also sensitive to patient cost (let them know it matters). It's easy to get an appointment & they are part of the BCH system.
Pros: Doctors take their time & care
Cons: ?

The staff was professional and knowledgeable. The Doctor had a broad base of knowledge and was able to help me with low back pain, irritable bowel syndrome, and an ankle sprain. Dr. Duggan offered chiropractic spinal and extremity adjusting, nutritional counciling, physical therapy, and home treatment. The experience was great.
Pros: Knowledgeable, great environment, good staff
Cons: busy office

The staff is always friendly, polite and helpful.
I can't say that for the North Boulder Pharmaca. I have never encountered such arrogance out of a retail service employee in my life. If they were actually as good of "Herbalists" "Nutritionists" and "Estheticians" as they seem to think that they are, they would most likely be working in their respective field. they need to lose their cockiness.
The new South Boulder Pharmaca is just as bad, I was actually talked down to like a child by their staff Esthetician.
Pros: knowledgeable staff
Cons: parking @ the downtown store

More
The Boulder College of Massage Therapy has a student clinic (http://www.bcmt.org/bcmt-clinic/) for $25-35 dollars you can get a one hour massage from a current student. Since the school is a 1000 hour program (only 500 hours is required by the state), many of the students have a lot of experience. The best massage I've ever gotten was from a 4th quarter student at the school.
Disclaimer: I'm a current student, but not currently working in the clinic.
