As the son of a mechanic I am weary of sending my baby into a shop. But I did for a recall notice since the work would be done for free. They promised a same day job and did so. Unfortunately, as with a lot of things in this world, it did not go as smoothly as planed. There was a problem. I fretted the situation, and the confrontation, as I always try to avoid such unpleasant scenarios as most Boulder people do. Pollard's service manager stepped up to the plate and acknowledged my concerns with out making me feel like an idiot or a scam artist. He offered to have his people look at it free of charge. It turns out that they found a small configuration issue and fixed it. All with no cost to me. I have never seen a repair shop with such integrity before. Not only are they professional and responsive, they are honest as well. I have absolute faith in Pollard and would not hesitate to recommend their service department to anybody that needs a fair shake and accountability to the quality of their work. I say this because it has been my experience that most repair shops will do anything to make as much money off of you as possible. Some even create situations to do so, it's sad but true. I say this as the son of a mechanic that was often put in this situation his service manager. That is why I feel it is so important to let people know when I find a shop with integrity and character.

Some people have kids, I have a car. My car was side-swiped and in bad shape. I had been to the dealership before for basic maintenance, but not the auto body shop. I worked with Linda and she was very helpful and informative.
They finished my baby in a few days, and the work they did was superb. The same car had been in an accident before and the paint started to peel in a year, so I was ecstatic to find that they guarantee the paint for the life of the car! This was the best auto body shop experience I have ever had. I would recommend them to anyone with a Chevy.
Pros: Courtesy shuttle, Polite staff

Every employee I came in contact with was friendly and courteous. I went in for minor service and was in and out in a matter of minutes (less than 10). A fantastic dealership that is guaranteed my business now and in the future. If you drive a BMW, Saab, Porsche, or VW, don't take it anywhere else. Similarly, if you are looking to buy one, make this your first stop.
Pros: Service, location, appearance

Bought an 07 Pathfinder SE brand new, year end closeout in 07. I checked out all the incentives and special financing that Nissan had going on. Figured the payment on a payment calculator on-line. When the wife went in to buy it went very quickly. She told the salesman what she would pay, the salesman countered, wife said "no-deal" then the salesman came back with the price and terms my wife had said in the first place. They actually gave me trade-in value for my 05 Altima! To even be offered actual trade-in value for a vehicle is amazing! I've been to many dealerships that won't even offer 1/2 of what trade-in is.
Before you EVER buy a vehicle, DO YOUR HOMEWORK! If you are in the negitive on a vehicle it is your own d-a-m fault! You paid too much! Check out kbb com or edmunds com to see what your vehicle is worth and the value of the vehicle you want to purchase. And if any dealership wont come to YOUR terms,,,,, then leave and go somewhere else!
Pros: Less bs than most dealers
Cons: It's still a car dealership

My husband and I recently purchased a '97 Acura RL from Valley Dodge. The price was more than we initially intended to spend, but we took into consideration the reputation of the car itself, and the assurance that every car that comes into Valley Dodge goes through a 28-point inspection and detailing before being placed on the lot for sale. According to our salesman, if the car does not pass their inspection, it goes to auction. For this, the dealership charges $493. After negotiating the price of the car, that amount is then added. We were not thrilled to pay nearly $500 more than the actual price of the car, but rationalized that we could buy with more confidence because Valley Dodge had looked the car over carefully and deemed it in good mechanical condition and safe to drive. Unfortunately, that wasn't entirely the case. After buying the car, we found that the tire pressure was uneven in all four tires, the windshield wipers had to be replaced as the driver's side was unusable, and the upper arm bushings on the suspension need replacing. We also later discovered that the pinion seal on the front differential is leaking. We thought Valley Dodge would have noted those things and considered them to be a mechanical problem. A fuel line leak also developed shortly after purchase. It turned out that this was likely not preexisting, and Valley Dodge diagnosed the cause of the leak at no charge. They quoted a cost $137 for the repair. I took the car to Flatiron Acura for a second opinion, which they also provided at no charge. They then performed the repair for $110, had it done the next day, and gave me a 2008 Acura RDX as a loaner at no charge. Valley Dodge should be taking notes - that's class. I would do at least two things differently next time: 1) Don't take the dealer's word as to the condition of the car (no-brainer, I guess), and 2) Don't pay $500 for an inspection you can get during an oil change for $18.99. Also, buy at Flatiron Acura.
