What a warm and inviting spa/salon! All of the employees are friendly and extremely competent. From haircuts to mani/pedis, to facials to wraps. This is the #1 salon/spa in Boulder.... and for Good reason. Treat yourself to a service there. You won't regret it!!

After my travesty at tapestry I decided to treat myself to a haircut at Finishing Touch, which got great reviews on other websites. The receptionist was rude, the stylist was hurried, and even though I got a decent cut, I was not impressed with my experience. My haircut cost way less than at other salons in Boulder, thank goodness, but my overall impression of the location was not positive. People were just "hanging out" at the salon and my hair dresser decided that they had more interesting things to say than chatting with me. The salon section was messy and the oversized furniture made the area feel cramped. I won't go back.

Okay, this place is like walking into a dream! It's calming and peaceful. When you walk in the door they offer you tea, juice water etc... I had a manicure and pedicure done one day and then had my wedding makeup done there later in the week. It's not cheap :) but for a special event it was well worth the money!

If you want to feel pampered...this is the place! I received a gift certificate from my husband for Valentines Day and experinced 5 star service. We went in together for a couples massage and were greeted by friendly and professional staff at the front desk, who then took us back to their top notch locker rooms with a sauna and steam room. I loved the cottage/beach decor and felt relaxed in my robe and sandals.
We enjoyed our massage's and it was a nice change to receive them in the same room! My husband felt a little more comfortable in what he thought was a "women's place", because we went in together. I experienced one of the best massage's I have ever had. I will definately return and would recommend Essentiels to any spa goer who wants top notch service. This was one of the best gifts my husband has given me and I now understand what my girlfriends have been raving about!!

Ask for Tina, she is a true artist with a brilliant talent for discerning what you want, and translating it into action. I have gotten a cut/color/highlights from her several times, often changing it up for fun, and it always turns out exactly as I envisioned or better. As a bonus, she is excellent at advising ideas if you don’t know specifically what you want to do. It’s difficult to find a hairstylist that you can really trust, and Tina is that hairstylist. That’s the best part of the experience, just relaxing and enjoying yourself, knowing you’re in great hands!
Pros: Fantastic Cuts/Colors/Highlights, Warm Atmosphere and People
Cons: Parking can be a bit of a challenge

Just finished a beautiful spa experience at Tapestry in Boulder. I needed my nails done and a shampoo and style prior to Thankgiving dinner. I looked great and many of my guest complimented by new style.

I have been to a lot of high priced "stylists" over the years and Al's is awesome and less $ than all the rest. My kids and I go there and I will not go anywhere else in Boulder. For all of you writing negative reviews, please don't go to Al's any more because the only con to Al's is how hard it is to get an appointment with the boss sometimes.

I had been to a few places in Boulder like On Broadway for facials before. On Broadway does a nice job, but this time around I was determined to find a place that had someone where I could get personalized attention and didn?t feel a time pressure. When I first spoke with Kelly on the phone, I had a good feeling. She said I?d come in for a consultation and then after that we?d do the treatment. I arrived a few minutes early. The studio is in a beautiful part of Boulder with a park and mountainview just outside, and plenty of free parking.
Kelly greeted me and invited me in. She spent quite a bit of time assessing my needs and answering my questions? and then? the treatment. What a lovely experience. The room itself is relaxing with quiet, calming music and candles. The treatment was amazing and my fiancé commented on my skin about three times that evening! He said I was glowing. I felt like I was.
Above all, Kelly is delightful, personable and very sweet. Those qualities coupled with her experience, her training and her ability to clearly communicate make her awesome at what she does. You can tell Kelly wants to make the whole experience as enjoyable and personalized as possible. I would highly recommend Bliss. I feel like I found a little treasure in Boulder!

'Twas a tragedy when the former unique, interesting and catchy name was changed from "Blue Hair" to "Hair Elite"- yes, it was a few years ago!
This salon has a range of products and lines, from the stuff we see at many salons, to some I've not seen elsewhere. They always have some things on sale, and reduce the discontinued fragrances and products of a line- nice when you don't like the new scents that replaced the product you liked.
It's been a long time since I had my hair cut at his salon- like most there are good stylists and other stylists that won't work for your hair. I can't make any specific suggestions about stylists, but it is a decent place to buy products.
