Every year the sun shines for a few days in Western Washington and makes the raspberries at Harvold's Berry Farm big and tasty.
Unless you're already in the lower Snoqualmie Valley it's a bit of a pain to get there (probably best to drive east on I-90 to Preston, then drive through Fall City to the north end of Carnation), but when you see the vines you realize it was well worth it.
Even in a year with little rain the berries were in great shape. In just under an hour and a half four adults and one kid picked almost 20 pounds of raspberries, which Harvold's charges about a buck a pound for.
Eat them fresh (after paying, of course) or can them in sugar water or as jam and you'll be happy you made the effort.
