I started my holiday shopping early this year at metamorphosis! There sign outside caught my eye and I realized what I was going to get my family and friends this year. I went in this weekend and bought about 10 gift certificates and a bunch of cute gift ideas. The staff was very helpful and provided me with a lot of ideas for little stocking stuffers!! I?m talking about really nice teas I bought for my mother, custom bath salts and awesome candles for my sister. I was excited to see that they even had a men?s product line for my dad too! Basically I was so pumped that I finished my shopping before thanksgiving this year I wanted to share it with everyone!
Pros: retail,staff!
Cons: none at all!!!

I LOVE this place! I have been using the same stylist for years - but when she is not in I feel comfotable making an appt with any of the girls- they are all great! I read the one "bad" review - but I can say I ahve NEVER in 5 years had a bad experience with any of the girls. Not only are the stylist great - but so are the "extra" services....pedicure, manicure, massage....ahhhhh. If you are new or old to Richmond - this is a must! Keep and open mind when you walk in - I promise you will love it!
Pros: FUN - talented stylist, great music, parking, location (and great magizines)
Cons: Uncomfortable seating while waiting/processing

I LOVE this salon! Everyone is so nice and helpful. My hair always looks gorgeous when I walk out. I am always pleased with my hair from the highlights to the cut. The best place to go in a 45 mile radius.
Pros: Aveda Salon with so many extras! There is a small cafe and the food is delicious!
Cons: It can get expensive and it always takes about 2 hours or so for them to complete my hair.

Ava’s offers everything a woman will ever need! They do spa treatments, nails, tanning, waxing, hair, they even sell clothes! My favorite thing is you can walk-in without an appointment, so on the rare occasion I have the money and the time, I can run to the shop without worrying about having to have an appointment. The best place for a special treat for yourself or someone special.

A wonderful experience! The entire staff is just great and the spa is truly beautiful and relaxing.. The best haircolor and nail services I have found in Richmond. I felt so pampered. Can't wait for a massage and facial.
They are so attentive to the client. Made me comfortable from the moment I entered. And they really listened to what I wanted done. I've never felt better, and I looked terrific when they finished working their "magic". I'll be giving their gift certificates to a few special people.

I was looking for a pedicure for me and a friend at 2:00 on a Friday afternoon. We needed to be out of the salon at 3:00. When I made the appointment I asked for 2 pedicures at 2:00. When I arrived, there was only one chair. But the pedicurist quickly suggested that she could give each of us an express pedicure and we could get out of there by 3:00. We decided this was fine and was glad that she made the effort to accomodate us. I missed the relaxtion of a full pedicure, but my toes looked great! The rest of the salon was very comfy and the other stylists and guests were friendly and we chatted about our weekend plans. It was as if I had been going there for years. The price was great - $25 for the express pedicure. I would definitely go back there. They were running a special of a free manicure with the pedicure but we didn't have time to take care of it.
Re: the reservation mix up. I wasn't really thrilled that happened, but because the pedicurist was not the one who took the appt. and was so nice to quickly fix the problem, it was okay. But I will be sure to much clearer next time I go.
Pros: friendly, accomodating. my toes still look great 2 weeks later!
