I just love this store! Every single time I go in it, I have an awesome experience. The employees are so nice, so helpful and totally knowledgeable. I also think the prices are very reasonable. I have to say my favorite thing about the store though is that they have the best selection. You can just about guarantee any baby related thing you are looking for, they will have!

the best thrift store I have ever been too! awesome selection and the pricing is right too. I wish they had larger aisles to push your cart but hey this is the only thing I can think of they need to do to improve. I never visit without purchasing tons! I think all of the people that shop for designer and brand name clothing donate to this place, because I don't have a problem finding them there! LIMITED selection of nice household items though. CLOTHING and accessories are the best deals here!

I really like Elwood Thompson. Everything there is organic and natural. But I'm vegetarian on the verge of being vegan and they need to keep up witht he competetion. True, they have tons of veg foods, but so does Kroger's. And Kroger's is closer to my house. I wish that as a "Natural Foods" store they would have different and more choices for me than the average grocery store. Today's market for vegeatarian's is growing and so should Elwood Thompson's. ]
I mean, I just got back from Poland last week and they had cooler options for me than ET. In Poland I was able to get a Soy Feta Spread. In Poland! Come on ET, keep up.

World of Mirth really does sell some interesting and fun items. I found a book of the Nativity story told through LEGOs, a Playmobil nun, and a ton of funky purses. They were out of my price range, but still great to look at. Anyway, the prices are not unreasonable. In fact, for the most part they are very good. The only thing I don't care for is that they are starting to sell a bit more items that border on sacreligious, which to me is disturbing. Nonetheless, the overall feeling of the store is pretty decent. It's a good place to take kids because they sell a lot of different toys that you won't see anywhere else. Overall, I really recommend a visit.

I was so amazed when I first entered the Memories Galore off of Hull St.! They have the biggest and best selection of scrapbooking supplies of any store I have ever shopped, especially of paper, which is my personal weakness. There are around 8 lanes of just paper! The employees are so helpful and enjoy giving ideas and tips on making pages, and the store offers monthly specials and classes. When you walk in you almost feel as if you are joining an exclusive club, or family.
The prices are similar to and often better than those of the larger stores such as Michael's.
After visiting this store I will never shop another mass merchandiser for scrapbooking supplies!

This store also has many of the same great qualities as it's sister store on the Southside: friendly, helpful staff, better supply than mass merchandisers, offers classes and discounts. The one thing lacking is the size. Due to it's much smaller area they cannot carry as much in this location, though their supply is still great.
The one thing I absolutely love about this store and allows me to stay and shop happily for as long ad I wish, is they have an enclosed area with toys for toddlers that can be seen from almost any angle. My toddler actually cried because he didn't want to leave, and that's in any store that doesn't have a backwards "R" in the name! There is a negative to that: the area is much closer to the entrance than the aisles are, and as unlikely as it is to happen, someone could have your child in their car before you get to the door. I would feel more comfortable if it was towards the back of the store with the scrapping tables.

I have checked out CWD several times. Even during their clearance sales, I thought things were expensive. You can get nice clothes for cheaper prices than a boutique, but I prefer to get things on clearance at other stores like Pennys or Hechts. They offer a kid's photo contest once a year that is fun. The winner gets lots of free clothes and get publicity in their ads.

For revamped, silly or just plain antuque items Trashique is a great stop -- They buy antiques, fix things up or apply new coats of paint, the workers are friendly and they sponsor a neighborhood yardsale frequently in their parking lot --
What a fun place to shop -- their prices are also reasonable and the owner must have a great eye for antiques because it's packed full of things I'd like to buy!

If you're looking for something special Narnia is the place to go -- they have a store kitty and a layout that is very child friendly with little hiding spots and reading nooks all over -- Their prices are no worse than your average bookstore and you get to give your business to a local establishment and really enjoy yourself at the same time.
