While the exhibits can be a bit mundane for adults, especially after multiple visits because the main exhibits don't really change, there are a lot of neat things for kids to do. They do a pretty decent job of making learning fun and everything is hands-on. The best thing is the IMAX dome; they get educational shows, fun shows (like Disney's Beauty & the Beast), and adventure documentaries that make you feel like you are really in the place the film is of. The gift shop is a great place to shop -- lots of cool things.

We looked for a ballet class for my oldest daughter for some time before finding All Star Dance -- they are PERFECT for what we need -- lessons include both tap and ballet, the groups are kept small and the teachers are patient and kind --
We take a homeschool class which is SO much more reasonable than I was preparing to pay for lessons through other dance companies in the area and it's at a perfect time of day too -- We enjoy All Star Dance so much our two littlest girls are going to begin ballet lessons this September too, how fun!

VCU is a very good university. The staffs there are very friendly. Most of their departments are very good. They are especially famous for its art and medical departments. One of my friendly studied medicine in this university. She told me that she has learned a lot and she loves the school.

I am involved in the process of looking for a preschool for my son.One of the places I have looked at is the Goddard school.From the initial phone call, I have been very impressed.The owner was very helpful, and did not seem hurried or stressed, as they often do when you call. The program they have for the children is very individualized to your child, and the facility is clean and bright.It is in the higher end of the price range, but you are paying for quality.They also allow part time attendance.

Rattle & Roll is a kids store that carries clothing,some toys,and furniture.They have some really beautiful pieces of handpainted furniture,like cribs and chairs.This was the only place in the area that I could find the soft-soled leather shoes that I wanted for my child.You could create an outstanding and unique nursery with what you will find in this store.But when looking for custom made pieces,you know you will find that high price tag.

They have many wooden toys,which can be hard to find in chain stores.They also carry toys for babies.When I took my eight year old niece there,she complained that the toys were "boring",and for "babies".So you may do better bringing the younger set there.I would return to this store because I will find things there I know I will not find anywhere else.

Great fun and teaching abounds at Peter Pan Daycare center! Conveniently located in Richmond, VA, it is a warm and welcoming place.
It resides in a liitel refurbished house, which has beenconverted into a cozy learning center. It accomodates children from ages infants up to school age.
The teachers are great, and the location is near lots of major commercil and residential areas.
However, the school is located along a very busy highway. I always have a small, probably needless fear, of a child getting hit by a car!
Pros: clean, friendly staff.
Cons: located along a busy road.
