I saw this place on Diners, Drive-ins and Dives and when it was time to go to SF on vacation, this place was a must. We did wait about an hour and the place is very small but it was worth every minute. I think it was the best breakfast I had in years. In fact, it trumped Mama's in Washington Square and that is not easy. Recommend for the undecided to go during the week to avoid the crowds. Don't listen to the putz who said it was so-so below me. People would not be waiting up to an hour if it was just so-so.
Pros: Amazing breakfast
Cons: Not many tables

Sought this place out with my sister, who'd been before and knew about getting there before 5:30. Absolutely true. We got right in, and watched a horde form outside our window table. The food was stupendous. Flavors and combinations unlike anything I've had anywhere. Service excellent and informative, friendly, energetic staff. The decor is gorgeous. Topnotch

Fresh ingredients, big portions worth their prices and efforts of going to Sanchez16th. Good vibe for dinning experience, a place where you can enjoy twilight sky with a few of walking traffics.
Pros: Two thumbs up

That's right, enjoy eating in this authentic Italian restaurant located in the Mission on 16th street.
Enjoy a glass of vino as you peruse your menu complete with a variety of delicious choices ranging of antipasta.
Choose your main dish known as primi from a wide range of pastas like penne, rigatoni, lasagna, and fettucini.
The portions are typical for a true Italian dinner, so if you're accustomed to over-sized portions Americans are notorious for, you may need to consider ordering a side dish secondi like prosciutto, carpacchio, or mixed vegetables. Be sure to ask your server if any pommes frittes (Italian version of French Fries) are available. Yes, I said French Fries, but these are much healthier and no doubt tastier than anything you've had at a drive-thru.
I doubt you'll miss the Italian accents from the staff since it seems like all of them, at least when I've been there, are Italian immigrants. They're hip, young, and dedicated to creating the right balance of an Italian atmosphere suitable for a business dinner meeting, a night out with friends, or that special night with that romantic someone. They're proud of their Italian cuisine and culture and they enjoy sharing it with their diners.
End the night with gelato for desert along with some gourmet Ilily espresso. Or you may want to try the desert liquor, Lemoncello. This is especially helpful in digesting those pasta carbs.
Finally, something that little something that sets Il Cantuccio apart from anywhere I've ever been is your bill is accompanied by a small cup of Gummi Bears that just may hit the spot if you don't have room for desert.
I hope you find my review helpful and thanks for reading! Buon Appetito!

I am not your typical client who belongs to Alcheme. My hair is exceedingly high maintenance; I have coarse, textured, 'ethnic' hair similar to that of a lion's mane.
Prior to experiencing this sanctuary, I had tatty experiences with many stylists who were unable to execute the right cut, or administer a proper solution for my type of hair. The results nearly always left me irritated, feeling insecure about anyone grazing my hair with a pair of shears, and with an unpleasant-to-look-at hair cut.
Frustrated with having to style and cut my hair on my own for years after, I decided to take a risk after having been given an exclusive invitation to Alcheme. What I received was a sculpted cut that emphasized every positive facet of my face, and hair treatments that made my hair feel like pure spun silk - a complete transformation from my coarsely tossed lion's mane.
Additionally, during my first visit: I was immediately dazzled with Alcheme's lofty sunlit environment, which was unexpectedly slathered with sumptuously painted canvases, fragrant foliage and the warm hospitality of the staff. All in opposition to the illustrations that danced around in my head prior to my visit.
I am a performing artist; my hair's plays an essential role in my image, brand and identity. Today, I love my locks, but I adore this salon for its top grade expertise, exceptional service and craftsmanship. The staff are truly creative alchemists who invent custom styles which correspond to the needs of each client - regardless of the challenge! And its unique atmosphere is...an added reward! Unequivocally, Alcheme is THE superlative salon in the City of San Francisco.
Pros: Superlative service
Cons: I have to drive from the ocean to get to it!

If you want the real deal on all levels go to Tres Agaves. I recently went with a group of friends for margaritas and some various dishes. We really enjoyed the fish tacos and the guacamole was insanely good! We also had some of the slow cooked carnitas ? mmmmm?.so good. However you have to try the tequilas. We had a tasting party and learned about the real history of tequila. No shot glasses here, all tastings were served in appropriate spirits glasses. We had a fabulous time.
Pros: Excellent sipping tequilas, super great authentic food!
Cons: really busy after a ball game!

Heather has been coloring and cutting my hair for over eight years now--perhaps even longer. I have followed her around the City, and am glad she's back at Stephen Saiz--I like the salon and the downtown location. Heather does the best blond I've seen--my hair ends up an amazing, natural-looking shade ("butter blond" as she calls it), with wonderful texture. She also gives great cuts--the style is always very current, but never too extreme (I work in a corporate setting, and I have to try to look "professional" so the men take me seriously), although I know she can do other styles--she gave my skateboarding son a great cut, also. She usually gets me in and out of there very fast, which I love. I have referred friends to her who have also become loyal clients. Finally, it's always such a pleasure to see Heather--she's funny and friendly, and I've really enjoyed getting to know her over the years.
Pros: Nice salon, nice people, downtown location
