As an avid jewelry designer and traveller, I end up scoping out bead shops across the country from Washington, DC and New York to Durango, Colorado, La Jolla, CA and everywhere in between. So imagine my pleasant suprise when I moved to the Mission District and found Beadissimo right around the corner. While the store has a nice layout and decent selection, my excitement was short-lived. The prices here are as much as 2-3x those of other bead shops both in San Francisco and nationwide. If you just have on project in mind and don't want to venture downtown, Beadissimo is probably fine, but you can easily find the same beads and more at better prices elsewhere.
