This little shop in Chinatown is great! They have the biggest woks I have ever seen, 32 inches in diameter! I loved exploring this little store in the heart of Chinatown. They have great prices (the 32" wok costs only $125), and unique items. They also have products available on their website (wokshop.com) for those who can't get to San Francisco. The staff was very friendly. I was so dissapointed that I have no use for a 32" wok, otherwise I would have definitely purchased one!

The Container Store is just as great as Organized Living in San Mateo. They offer great organizational things and often have sales going on - so don't buy everything at once - wait for their sale.
Parking in downtown San Francisco is tough so plan to pay up. When you do a pick up in the store, they allow you to park in their garage and wait for their sale associate to bring down your merchandise.

This is store where you can find a lot of imported household items and clothing. They mainly import their items from China and boy do you ever get a great discount. Things are really cheap here and you do get a real bargain. Why pay for something at regular prices when you can get a great deal. This is definitely a place to shop for bargains.

This is a small neighborhood hardware store. They have everything from paint to locks to nails and hammers, etc. The owner is quite friendly and helpful. He even does house calls to help you meet your hardware needs. Even though his prices might seem a little higher, it is the customer satisfaction and knowledge I like about it. It is also a good little store to browse around in because they carry more than just hardware supplies.

Ladies, you know what company I'm talking about. Men folk, get your significant other a pretty little something at Tiffany's and she is yours. And the little blue box in and of itself is some excitement alone. Of course you're paying for the name. The sales people can be a little snooty if you're not dressed up, so come with your protective armor on.

Kamei is a great little shop on Clement, and the perfect place to outfit your kitchen. They have a huge variety of beautiful Japanese dishware, along with matching sake cups and teapots. And at decent prices too! They also have everything else you may need, like pastel colored plastic bowls, broom/dust bin combos, rice-cookers, pots and pans, etc.

Whenever I need some esoteric cooking implement, I always head over to Sur La Table, and rarely, if ever, am I disappointed. German bag-clips for sealing cereal bags? Yep - and in three sizes. Japanese Slicky for grinding sesame seeds? Check. New England crocks for storing all of my utensils? Check (ordered and held for me for a month when I was still living in Germany and waiting for a business trip to bring me back to the states to pick it up).
The only problem is that every time I go there, I end up getting something - a citrus press here, a silicone basting brush there. The only point off is because of their house-brand All Clad knockoffs. I picked up an 8 inch stainless steel frying pan, and the weight balance is so off, that if you don't put it JUST RIGHT on the gas burners of my stove without anything in it, it flips over - not something I want with a red hot pan.

Cookin is a very good, and very dangerous store. I went to Cookin with my roommate one day, just to browse around mind you, and she ended up leaving spending over $100! Don't get me wrong, she loves the things that she bought there, but it was kind of steep, I thought. The stuff is cool, just be careful.
