Fabulous location, easy access to transit.

Worst

The basic problem is that the hotel does NOT feature enough amenities in the room and in the overall hotel.\r \r 1. no free newspapers\r 2. no letterhead and pens in the room...

Near everything we need 7/6/2011

Great Location, near everything we need for a 3 days City trip to San Francisco .a little bit noisy the rooms at the back. The recepcionist very kind and helpful. I´ll recomend this hotel to everyone. more

The desk staff, especially Hansel, were very helpful. They resolved any issues (our tv remote didn't work), answered any questions about entertainment and gave suggestions, and were prompt. more

Good value for your money 5/19/2011

The location is terrific. The room was big enough and clean, and the bathroom was rather large. While the hotel is old and run down, it is clean. We were safe and reasonably comfortable. It's a good value for your money but don't expect anything beyond bare basics. I may look for something just a little bit nicer for next time, but I would be willing to stay there again. more

Awesome location to the Union Square district. I was in town for a convention and did not want to pay for the overpriced Hilton so I found this hotel on Hotels.com. The hotel was economical and was very decent. more

Convenience to everything at Union Square and close to the cable car at Powell Street. There were good retaurants and a good variety of shopping close by. Hotel staff were very helpful with local knowledge, good recommendations and other useful information. more

Love this hotel, greta location, very affordable prices. If you plan not to stay in the room and explore the city, this is a perfect hotel. location is great. tons of shops and restaurants nearby. definetly stay there again when i will be next time in SF! more

Sheet Music 5/25/2006

This is the only place in town that I know of to find the non-legal version of the Real Book – that and an extensive selection of sheet music and other music books. They also sell all the old-school Jamie Abersold books, and other various musical accessories. I like the guys who work here – real, old school music store people. more

Nikko Hotel 3/10/2006

The Nikko Hotel is one of the best hotels in the city because it is unique yet clean. The lobby is beautiful and luxurious though rooms are pretty small and the furniture is a tad outdated. The beds and the TV are small. There’s a fantastic gallery next to the lobby. The location is very convenient and there are always Japanese businessmen in the lobby. more
