The UH Federal Credit Union offers great services especially loans. Their loan rate are very competitive and you can find loans here with better rates than other local banks. They have loan representatives that can help you with applying for a loan. They are quick and efficient and will let you know if you quality for a loan. Similar to UHFCU, HawaiiiUSA offers basically the same services expect they’re open for weekend banking on Saturdays. They too also have free online banking and bill pay as well as free notary services. Their interest rates for savings accounts are as abysmal as for UHFCU. But their bank does have the added convenience of using Bank of Hawaii Bank machines with you debit card without being charged a fee.

The Hawaiian Tel Federal Credit Union used to have the word "Employee" in the middle. Not anymore. They are open to anyone living or working on Oahu.
This is a good thing, as it means almost anyone can take advantage of what this credit union has to offer. Savings rates are competitive with other local institutions (but they all pale in comparison to those Internet banks), and you'll have access to the numerous services offered (many without cost) to members such as notary service and traveler's checks.
So don't be fooled by the name...as long as you live on Oahu, you can enjoy the many benefits of membership.
