I took all of my core classes here because it was cheaper than at the University and the credits were transferable so it was all the same. The campus is beautiful with lots of trees an wide open grassy areas. Another plus about going to a community college is that the classes were smaller with less students so I was able to get more attention from the teachers and I feel I was able to do a lot better because of that.
There is a lot of parking but I use to go early so I'm not sure what the afternoon parking is like. The cafeteria was nice with huge floor to ceiling windows. It felt more like a restaurant rather than a cafeteria.

I enjoyed taking classes at UH Manoa. Most of the classes that I enrolled in were in Business so it was very interesting. Most of my classes were held in the School of Travel Industry Management Building which is very beautiful. I got to go on an internship sponsored by the college and it helped me to gain work experience in another country.

HPU always had a good reputation for producing students who have a lot of hands on experience with work in their field of study. The instructors are also active professionals in the fields they teach, therefore, the knowledge they pass on is irreplaceable. HPU probably has the most foreign students compared to the other universities in the state, so it is very diversed and the experience you receive is another plus.

My sons preschool class went here and it was definitely the perfect age to enjoy this place. There was a place that was like the human body where kids can go in and different things to touch and play with. There was a little town where you could dress up and play grown up. It included things like a supermarket where kids could either be the shopper or the sales clerk ringing up the food, shop for fruits and veggies and milk and more. There was also a firetruck where you could dress up like fireman, the inside of an airplane, and so much more. In another area there were stairs you could climb so you could drive the wheel of a ship and lookout from, there were fish costumes to dress up like a fish, there was a stage where you dress in costume and be an actor. There was even a huge bubble machine where children could make huge soap bubbles. This is a fun, interactive place perfect for preschool age kids.

This library is located at the beginning of Ala Wai Boulevard. This library is very nice with beautiful landscaping. I really enjoy visiting this library because of the extensive collection of books that they have. Also the interior of the library is very nice. Service is great. A large monetary donation was given to this library a few years ago by a great admirer of this library.

Transpacific Hawaii college is my first school when I came to study in U.S.. At that time, it was so impress to study at Transpacific Hawaii college. Even though the college is not so big like other schools, the environment here is very good for study. They provide most major services as usual college do. There are only 15 people per one class, so it is quite small and effective class.

If you want to get your real estate license then I would recommend taking the class hours with Dower School of Real Estate. The instructors are very informative & speak in plain English. The lesson plan is put together in a logical fashion, which is more than I can say for the state test, and is easy to study & follow. The study guide is useful now that I have had my license for several years & I have been able to aid other agents with far more experience in finding answers to unique questions. A girlfriend just passed the state test & she heeded my recommendation to take the classes at Dower. She was just relaying to me her good experience as well.
Good Luck!

I like this elementary school because they have a nice campus and my children really enjoyed this school. The students go on many enriching field trips and they perform in various yearly school events like May Day. I enjoyed looking at the work they bought home from their classes. I enjoyed the parent teacher conferences and I knew some of the other student's parents who also liked the school.

I guess this is a business. He's a really nice guy and teaches well. He's very involved in the string groups in Hawaii. I believe he is still the conductor at Punahou and is very helpful. He teaches all different kinds of students in terms of ability. The only thing is the office building is slightly run down and the parking is always horredous.

We took our first surfing lesson here. The guys were really laid-back and accomodating: we showed up at 4pm and tentatively asked if they'd be ok to give a lesson sometime... Within 5 minutes they put us in rashguards (GREAT idea!!!), gave us the boards, and after 3-minute (on the sand) lesson we were in the water.
They explained everything so well, and were helping along great (they find a wave for you, and push you into it, so that you almost don't have to paddle at all) - I was standing up on the board by my second try! After that, it was a breeze - I was learning to go faster or slower on the board, and not to fall at the end of the ride :)
In the end, since there were just 2 of us at the lesson, they just gave us all the pictures for the price they usually charge from 1 person.
Great instructors, and nice people! Highly, highly recommended!
