We had a great time at a 8 year olds birthday party that was held here. The hosts arranged for an area all to themselves and all the dads raced each other & took the younger kids on the cars. 4 cars can race each other & it was really fun when the Mom's all joined in and raced each other. The hosts brought their own food from outside & everyone had a great time.

More
When you're a leader in the field, you share your expertise with others. The owner still teaches in the company's affiliated real estate school. She is assisted by guest lecturers for specific subjects. Classes are held both day and night, year-round. They include pre-licensing, broker licensing, and continuing education classes for realtors and realtor associates - a requirement for license renewal. Although tuition is priced reasonably, the courses are well-prepared to pass the state examination.

More
I have lived in Honolulu for almost 20 years and have many friends, but when I had my 1st child I found that many of my girlfriends with kids went back to work or just had different schedules. When my oldest turned 1 I needed to get out and make some friends with kids the same age. I called the Baby Hui & they set me up in a group that was in my neighborhood with Mom's who had the same age children. I was reluctant thinking it is just going to be a rag session of unhappy people unloading their woes of motherhood. But what I found was the opposite & now have a terrific network of friends all of whom I'm met through someone who knows someone etc from the Baby Hui. I'm not sure if I agree it should be subsidized by the State, but I didn't have a problem making the optional $100 contribution for the meetings where others may.

A great place for kids to try dancing, singing, acting. The teachers are really caring & devoted to their students. The cost is a little high, but I haven't found any classes for much less. The studio puts of regular performances & the kids are always working on the next show. A great start for beginners & intermediate performers.

More
This is an interesting place to take your kids since it is very educational. It can be a little boring for older kids because it doesn't have the excitement of an arcade center like Dave and Busters. I would recommend this place to anyone with very young kids but I wouldn't recommend this place to folks with older kids.

This is a daycare/preschool that offers the unique option of drop off and pick up for what ever hours you need. The pre-school is good, but there is a waiting list to get in. The Kahala location is convenient for getting to town & doing quick errands. They will change diapers & take babies as well.

More
UH Manoa is a disappointment to me. The university is WAY behind mainland universities in so many ways. The dorms are falling apart. There is no Greek life. You would think the athletes play in the pro's the way they are treated. Academically, it was behind other programs I have been a part of. The parking situation is insane, there is no where near enough parking to be a commuter school of any type. So your options are commute and have no place to park or live in dorms that are falling apart. I was also disappointed that there is no real program to try to draw in older adults. It seemed like most of the undergrad students are in their teens and early 20's. I met very few people older than 21 on campus. Older adults need to feel welcome too as there are many people who would like to go back to finish school or obtain additional degrees. If they don't feel welcome, they aren't going to bother. My husband took classes at HPU and they seemed much more accomadating for older students.

If you want to get an college education in Honolulu, then HPU may be a better option for you than UH Manoa. HPU is doing a better job of maintaining the requirements for keeping their accreditation.

I attended this college several years ago and I really enjoyed it because of its small size. Since the classes are smaller its easier to get the teacher's attention and help. Tuition at this college is a lot cheaper than at the larger colleges. It is also a lot easier to find parking and to walk to your classes because the campus is so small. I enjoyed all of my teachers at this community college.
