Sea Life Park is just coming out of bankruptcy and has a new owner. They are re-doing the whole park & it is in much need of updating. I have lived in Honolulu for 20 years & have seen very little changes in the attractions/ shows at the park. We have a 4 yr old who even gets board. Her favorite part of the park is now the jungle gym. We have an annual pass because is was so cheep for locals. I was there mid June & they were taking apart a main attraction. The plan is to fix up the whole park with new attractions. If I were visiting Hawaii I would not spend my money at Sea Life Park unless I was planning a trip in 2006.

This smaller 8 plex theater is located in Hawaii Kai on the Eastern end of Oahu. There are great local restaurants in the area and the theater offers stadium seating & good sound. This makes a nice night out without going into "Town".

This is an interesting place to take your kids since it is very educational. It can be a little boring for older kids because it doesn't have the excitement of an arcade center like Dave and Busters. I would recommend this place to anyone with very young kids but I wouldn't recommend this place to folks with older kids.

I always enjoy watching the shows here because I would say a majority of the cast is local actors. I even remember when Joe Moore was here for a show. How awesome to see local stars. If you want to do something different and support local actors and the local arts, then definitely think about watching a show at the Diamond Head Theatres. Parking is sufficient and I would say all the seats are good seats.

They produce the top dancers from Hawaii and the Nutcracker show performed every year is really good for a local young dance company.

This particular tourist activity is one of a kind. The ride takes you to a different world. You will practically see marine life in the wild. Also very educational and informative. The kids will love it, but infants are not allowed. Altogether, this activity is a bit on the expensive side. I suggest looking for discount coupons in the magazines and specials in the newspapers.

Hawaiian Waters Adventure Park is located at the west end of the H1 freeway, about 25 miles from Waikiki.

Admission fee is pricey (around $34.99 for adult), even the local's price is stil expensive. I would recommend you to find a discount coupon from tourist magazines (This Week Oahu, Oahu Gold, etc.) before you go.
The food inside is expensive. If you can grab something before you get in that would be the best to save your money!
There is plenty of free parking (maybe because of its expesive admission fee..nobody want to pay that high for waterpark)
If you don't have car, you can take the Bus no.40 or 40A to go there. it probably takes around 1 1/2 hours to get there (not including the waiting time).
Their staffs are really friendly and helpful.
Overall, Hawaiian Waters Adventure Park is good for the family and group of friends that want to find other activities to have fun rather than going to beach. of course, it is the fun that come with high price.

We would take our little red wagon, buy lunches from Rainbow Drive Inn and pack our child, the plate lunches and a small ice chest and tour the zoo. The biggest complaint for the kids is that it’s hot and they are tired. Riding in the wagon and sipping on a cold drink seems to alleviate all of that!

parking: there's street parking, but you have to fight with beachgoers to get the stalls. I would not say this is easy walking distance from the hotels.
I actually went to a wedding at the aquarium so the admission was free (residents pay $6, visitors pay $9) It is a bit small, I got through it with my wife and two small children in less than 1 hour. The kids loved it, while small it wasn't very crowded (well it was a wedding day!) I took a lot of photos with my kids in front of the tanks. The glowing tank with the jellyfish was really cool looking.
The open lawn was a very nice setting for a wedding. I'd call them for information to see what they charge for facility use.
