the taste here is special. Crazy place, almost serve yourself. But it is good food here!

Worst

Some ppl say that their chicken was really good, but I'd say that the chicken tastes very cheap. The price is very resonable, but I didn't like their lousy service. Pros: PRICE

My husband, who is from the middle east, was dying to try Zankou because of all the hype we've heard. Well, we left their feeling greasier than a tub of Crisco. For chicken we thought was going to be grilled, we got rotisserie chicken that must have been on the bottom spit and had all the other chicken's grease falling on it. I don't know what all the hype is about this place because there are much better places out there. Try Cafe Du Liban in Encino for chicken the way it should be! Pros: Cheap, Garlic paste is good Cons: Greasy, Stinky, Messy more

This is THE best place in L.A. for chicken! Their chicken combined with pita bread and garlic spread is the best deal. I lived in Sherman Oaks for 6 months and have missed it since I left! Any chance I get, when I'm in L.A., my friends and I will eat there! Super cheap and super delicious! Brought it home to my parents and they definitely agree! The 1/2 chicken, pita and garlic spread easily feeds 2 people for @ $4!!! Pros: designated parking, inexpensive more

As you enter any of the Zankou Chicken restaurants you notice behind the counter all the delicious chicken being roasted in the ovens behind the counter. I recommend the chicken or the Shawerma (Beef) sandwich, Tarna (Chicken) sandwich, or the Falafel Sandwich. This place is the best!!! Pros: Great Food, Yummy Garlic Sauce, Fast Service more
