This gallery in Los Angeles is all about the low brow artists along with up and coming artists. They deal in names that you won't find in most magazines "yet" and it's very interesting. I wouldn't choose to attend a gallery opening at this time at this location but there are some artists displayed here that may be the next Warhol.
If you're doing a museum tour, this is one to check out or in your spare time.

The selection here for actual athletes who are serious about their sports, whether its snowboarding or running or tennis or whatever, is horrible. Prices are low, for sure, but so is quality. Go to the Chicks Sporting Goods, or find an REI. If you want cheap stuff, go to Target.

The place really has gone downhill. I have been a southern California resident my entire life and used to enjoy going to Dodger Stadium. Now, it's a nightmare! Stadium is always jammed. Friday night games now have a shuttle but I don't know if it is helping much. The seats are always broken.
Still, there's a all-American spirit every time i go. I do know that it's is a difficult place to get in and out of and that the seats are old and decrepit but the sight lines are great, the field is perfect and really, it is about seeing the game. ...peanut shells, drunks and traffic aside:)

Adventure 16 packs a lot of great gear into a moderate sized space (which is actually bigger than it appears when you first arrive). They have everything for the casual to intense hiker, rock climber and camper. Friendly staff which is helpful but also lets you explore. This is a really fun store to spend a couple of hours in if you like outdoor gear. I always find something new and cool to buy every time I go there. Surprisingly, there is a paucity of outdoor stores in the Los Angeles area, so it's a good thing that Adventure 16 does a good job of stocking the necessaries for a great outdoor adventure.

All I can say about this place is...wow. I've never been to such a poorly run zoo. The first time I had ever seen the Los Angeles zoo was on TV when a gorilla had gotten loose. That piqued my interest in seeing what is going on over there. Well, it's nothing like the San Diego zoo. It's in a pretty bad area, and the staff there are not very well trained. The only good thing about this place was that it wasn't very busy, but I can see why. I wouldn't trust these people with a stray cat. Avoid this Zoo at all costs. You may think that it is a nice zoo because it is the "official" Los Angeles Zoo, but don't let that trick you.

This Park is huge and its so beautiful. They have a nice playground for the kids. There is so many things to do here that I can't name them all. This is one of the best parks I have been to. I certainly and most definitely recommend it. You must come and see it for your self!

Well... the outdoor part was very disappointing guess my kids are too creative to enjoy a couple of humongous plastic dinosaurs dying in a pit. The inside of the museum, however, was quite an experience. It is well worth visiting if you are interested in science, especially paleontology, or if you want to learn something about L.A. besides the standard Hollywood tourist traps. I still would recommend The Museum of Jurassic Technology on Venice Blvd. at Bagley, which is a parody of a Victorian natural history museum over La Brea Tar Pits.

The Getty is a definite place to go check out in the city of los angeles. it's right off of the 405 freeway and the location is kind of on top of a hill. The location is beautiful and the museum itself is a great place. they obviously put a lot of work into this place and its a huge clean place with great architecture. the place houses lots of classic pieces, so don't expect modern art.

More
Los Angeles County Museum of Art is a well established museum in Los Angeles that has good art pieces and exhibits. There is a cafe that serves light snacks and such but it can be a little pricey.
Currently LACMA houses the King Tut exhibit which is the last time the King Tut piece will be in America.
