I saw a great exhibit here with works from C??zanne and Pissarro who were both good friends and collaborators - the exhibit showcased their influence on each other and even had side-by-side works where they drew the same scene. I loved it!

The Armand Hammer Museum in Westwood is a wonderful escape from theu hustle and bustle of Los Angeles. They have wonderful exhibits, and manage to combine both classic and modern art. The photography exhibit was amazing, and their sculptures are some to marvel at. The indoor courtyard is so serene it makes you feel like you've been lifted out of downtown and placed somewhere in the countryside. An excellent day trip. Free for students.

This is a must see for anyone passing by downtown LA or Little Tokyo. It really gives a detailed account of Japanese Americans in the United States. It focuses a lot on the internment camps that happened during world war II. It actually has a replica of one of the houses that they had to live in. It was very moving for me as I am Japanese American and the tour guides are very helpful and informative.

Wow, is all I can when entering this car museum! The finest cars are shown here and they offer a rotating dispaly throughout the year. Luckily each exhibit stays up for about two months, which leaves plenty of time for viewing.
The museum is top notch and they offer year round memberships with different levels. This is definitely worth your investment if you'll be viewing the exhibit a couple of times a year.
If you're into cars, you'll want to check out this museum or even the website. They'll give you all the info you need and more on the web.

One of several locations, this particular branch of MOCA is located near the Disney Concert Hall in downtown. It's an amazing area, and MOCAs changing exhibit is a good reason to visit every now and then. There's a small cafe just outside, perfect for a snack before visiting the gallery.

The Museum of Neon Art is a very exciting place that every tourist who goes to Los Angeles should go.
This museum is basically a collection of tons of neon signs from all different times. This is a really cool place where you can see art that is so modern.
Also, this museum is in downtown LA which is in all the things.
One of the most interesting exhibits is the neon Mona Lisa which is really cool. There are also other exhibits that are basically replicas of much of the famous art in the world.
The museum is very exciting and any body in LA should go.

More
Ostensibly the world's only repository of neon art and artifacts, the Museum of Neon Art is the preeminent place to admire that stunning 1940s liquor store sign or bask in the glow of offbeat installations by artists who attended Burning Man. Moving lights and goofy sounds lend a playful feel to the galleries, attracting both kids and grown-up fans of American pop culture. Housed in an unassuming commercial space deep downtown, MONA also maintains extensive archives documenting the often-ephemeral art of the neon sign. Admission: Adults $5; children under 12 free; students/seniors $3.50. Admission is free on the second Thursday of every month from 5pm to 8pm.
