Great Way to Spend a Summer Day 2/26/2006

When it's a hot and sunny day here in Denver, you should go to Water World! Water World has two different pools, a lazy river, lots of water rides, slides, and a kiddie park! The first pool constantly sends out waves while you float on an inner tube or just swim. The other pool is a calm one until all of a sudden a huge tidal wave hits! You will love body surfing this wave! One of my favorite water rides is the Lost River of the Pharaohs. You and a friend go on an inner tube raft down a long, curving cave where you see cobras, mummies, and more. It's kinda spooky while you're drifting on down the river. Make sure you have a bit of cash for lunch! You will enjoy taking a break from all the fun to get a few slices of pizza or a juicy hot dog and eating on a picnic bench. If you get tired in the middle of your day, just take a nap on the grass. Water World has some shady spots for if you feel like being lazy for a while. Then, get up from your rest and get back in the water! Water World is such a blast! Grab your swimsuit, some sunscreen, a towel, a little cash, and head on over to Water World during your next free summer day! more

Not to be missed summer fun 2/8/2006

This is my family's favorite summer attraction. They have an amazing number of water-themed rides and every year they come up with something new. My favorite thing is to just drift along in a tube along the Lazy River on a hot summer day, but there is much more to do if you are of a more active mindset. Jumps, slides, shoots, waterfalls--you name it. If you can propel you body through it in water, they've done it! There are many picnic areas interspersed throughout the park so take a lunch. It's a bit pricey when you add in admission, tube rentals and food, so plan to spend the entire day to get your money's worth. (many areas businesses do offer discount coupons.) more

What a Splash! 2/2/2006

In the summer, there is no better place to cool off than Water World. Located right outside Westminster, it is a great location for everyone in the metro area! Plan on spending an entire day there, riding on the water rides, drifting on a raft, or just sunbathing! They have plenty to do there for everyone, so bring the entire family! more

best water park 8/18/2005

WaterWorld is a very very cool place! There are 42 different water attractions, or so. It gets bigger and bigger every year and is filled with so many fun attractions. I also like that you get a good workout while there because of the hike up the hills with the inner tubes! The wave pools are also a lot of fun and it even has some attractions for younger children. The only downside is the price, $28 each to get in, but discount tickets were available at Safeway when we went. Parking is FREE, which is so nice. more
