Love Jamie 1/3/2012

Like most people, it took me a while to find Urban Betty, but once I did, I was sold! I even moved away for a year, but when I came back to Austin I came right back to Urban Betty. I love Jamie. The first time I met her she immediately got my style (which is not complicated by any means, but still). And now that I've been having her cut and color my hair for the last two or three years, I love going in where I can say, "Same as last time" and she knows exactly what to do. Plus she's fun to talk to. :) more

Love Veronica 8/10/2011

I have been seeing Veronica for about 4 years now. She has always been on time and super professional. She's also a great girl, very easy and pleasant to talk with. I have always been happy with my hair when she finished. Cut, color....always love it. She's also great about making adjustments if I come back in a month wanting a different shade or when I decide to grow out all of my color....and then put it all back in a year later! The salon itself is really lovely, comfortable , bright and happy. It's a pleasant place to be. I Highly recommend Veronica and Urban Betty! more

LOVE LOVE LOVE DeLain! 3/7/2011

After moving to Austin 3 years ago, I hadn't found a permanent stylist here yet. To say I'm picky is an understatement. So, I was extremely nervous about not only trying someone new, but also getting highlights for the first time ever. But I'm so glad I chose DeLain! I am beyond thrilled with the results! After rambling about what I wanted for 15 minutes, she somehow made sense of it and I got EXACTLY what I pictured in my head. You should go see her. Seriously. :) more

Erin @ Urban Betty is the best! 2/8/2011

When I went to Erin to help me go red, I was worried that it would take a miracle to get me from where I was (brownish-blah) to the bright, vibrant red I wanted. I'd had every haircolor under the sun, and had even occasionally used boxed color when in a money pinch. Despite all that I've put my hair through, Erin was able to formulate a color that was EXACTLY what I wanted. I would (and have) highly recommended her to anyone looking for a great color. She's great with cuts, too, but it was her skill with the color that really impressed me and has me coming back (tonight!) more

I have finally found my hair stylist!!! 2/6/2011

It took me 3 years of going to several hair salons and stylist in Austin until I finally found the one! Urban Betty is a wonderful salon, both in its style and service! I am an avid colorist, I have done everything and anything to my hair and have not been satisfied with a color. After going to Ryan at Urban Betty I no longer need to worry about what my hair will look like because I know it will look amazing! For the first time I have highlights/lowlights and color that look totally natural! The salon is beautiful and all the workers are very friendly. Overall I loved my first experience there!! Oh and the 20% discount was great! more

Great 1st experience with Jamie! 1/16/2011

It was my first time I had went to Urban Betty. I found an awesome online coupon from city savings for my first time going, 20% off. My stylist was Jamie, she was amazing, very fresh and funky. She did a great job, and I was very happy with the results. She exceeded my expectations. She has a great personality, and talked with me the entire time. On top of that the salon is lovely, and I got a student discount. Overall I loved my first experience there! more

I have been going to Liza for 3 or 4 years. Over this time, she has convinced me to make a few changes here and there, and they've all been great ever since. PROS: - Creative yet practical. - Quality conversation. - Always friendly and upbeat. CONS: - Wish I would have started with her when we moved to Austin 13 years ago! more

I've always been really picky nervous when it comes to letting someone touch my hair. All the previous times when a "stylist" would cut my hair even to do a simple trim. They would always mess it up! Either cut too much off or make it jagged and uneven... but delaine did an amazing job with my hair trimming it up, adding a few layers to my really long hair and even giving me some nice side bangs. She definatley has a customer for as long as I live in texas!! more

Liza will make you look better than you imagined! 8/20/2010

I moved to Austin knowing no one. I saw people whose hair I admired and ask them who was their colorist/stylist. Of the 3of the people I asked referred me to Liza. I love the natural& multidimensional look of blonde she gave me. She didn 't over lighten it like some no vices do. I also sent my husband to her & she gently suggested & convinced him to change his circa 1992 hair style. He looks 10 yrs younger! more

Jeni is awesome!! I had a bad experience at another salon and i decided to try Urban Betty because it has such great reviews. I told Jeni exactly what i wanted and she did it! Most hair dressers are "know it alls" and never listen to what you want. Jeni rocks i finally found a place in Austin that i love!! She gave a great scalp message too! more

Liza is Fantastic 8/3/2010

I'm so happy to have found this little salon tucked away in a great shopping complex. For my first appointment, I chose Liza--solely based on the rave reviews from City Search. I am SO happy I chose her! I walked away from my first appointment absolutely thrilled with my cut and highlights. Liza does an exceptional job. I am so impressed with her skills--her fingers are magic when she does a haircut and I have to say, it's the best haircut I have ever had and I have been to some of the best salons in Vancouver. I've had people I don't know approach me and ask me who does my hair and my family and friends say it's the best cut they've ever seen on me. I've been completely happy with every experience I've had at Urban Betty and especially with Liza!!! more

Urban Betty has a great location, excellent services, and I always have an enjoyable time. Liza does amazing highlights and hair cuts, I am always thrilled when I leave. The color always turns out the way I want it. I have gone to her for years, and I have always left happy. I recommend Liza and Urban Betty Salon to everyone. I got my highlights done by MELANIE and it looks AMAZING!!! Everyone keeps complimenting me on my hair! Even my husband who hardly ever notices or says anything when I get my hair done keeps saying how much better it looks!! I love my hair, loved her and I am definitely going back to her from now on!! Melanie is the best stylist!!! 4/2/2010

When I moved to Austin I was a little nervous about trying to find a stylist as good as the one I left behind in Maryland. I finally found Urban Betty salon and booked an appointment with Melanie at random but I am so glad I did!! I have been to see her a few times for some color therapy and have loved the result EVERY time!! Not only is the color amazing, but her cuts are great too!! I recently got pregnant and have been unable to color my hair but thats no problem, Melanie gives awesome cuts and her prices are so reasonable!! She not only does an amazing job as a stylist but she is also really friendly. I don't know about you but I hate going to salons and having someone do your hair and not speak to you the whole time. That is totally not her style, She is personable and knowledgeable, really what more can you ask for? So if you are new to the area or not and looking for a great stylist, go to Urban Betty and ask for Melanie, you will not regret it!! more

Jeni did such a great job with my hair... It's been 2 months and I still get compliments on it! I'm new to Austin and finding a new hair salon is always hard, but I've found mine here. My mom is even considering driving from Dallas to get hers done :) more

I'm really diappointed. 3/11/2010

Sarah came highly recommended and she is incredibly nice and personable; I really enjoyed my time in her chair. The salon itself is tucked away like a secret hideaway and is very comfortable and stylish. However, I have to rate the whole thing one star because, well, I hate my haircut. I tried to keep an open mind and let it grow on me, but it hasn't ... and I'm literally crying right now. The problem: it looked great when she blow dried and straightened and fussed with it. In my real, low-maintenance, every-which-way wavy world, it looks horrible. And I'm furious about the bangs. It took me so long to grow them out and CHOP, back to the awkward growing out phase. And I paid for this?? Effing hell. At least I used the citysearch 20% off coupon. Pros: Friendly staff, cool location, unique decor Cons: I hate my haircut. more

I've been looking for a great hair colorist in Austin for a long time. I went to Urban Betty this week and FINALLY found one! Delain did an amazing job on my hair color and was very knowledgeable about hair color. She did exactly what I wanted and it's by far the best color I've had in Austin! Thank you Delain! more
