I am as new to Capitol Hill as Kurrent, having moved to Seattle a few months ago. I know I have many bars and restaurants to visit now that I am in the area, but Kurrent has been a stand out spot for me since my first visit. \r

First of all, they are the only bar I know of with a Nintendo Wii in their VIP room, which is just awesome for groups. Aside from the Zig Zag, Kurrent is the only bar I know of that offers an authentic James Bond martini, called a ""Vesper"" (as it is called in the first Bond book in the 1950's). Your 007 martini isn't the real deal unless it has Kina Lillet, and they create this drink perfectly with a twisted lemon peel. Their appetizers are delicious and affordable, especially during Lounge Hour. \r

Friday nights and weekend evenings typically allow for standing room only, which isn't bad since everybody is mingling and having a great time. This is actually a nice and quiet place to go for dinner, since the crowd doesn't pick up heavily until late at night. I do love the fact that they have a plasma TV in the bar, usually on ESPN. I never expected I would have been able to watch one of the world series games there this year, so that was fun. \r

I saw the sign outside Kurrent saying they now served brunch, so I definitely want to check it out. My friend told me they actually make omlets at your table, so I'm anxious!\r

I highly recommend Kurrent if you're coming over from Bellevue or trying to break out of the Belltown area but still want that chic and upscale feel. \r

Pros: Seafood, atmosphere, drinks, Wii
Cons: Limited capacity late at night
