This is a larger, two-story version of their King St. location. Great location: Look up and you can see the Bay Bridge; look out and you can see the Bay and Red's Java House. Inside it is colorfully decked out in beautiful Thai antiques and ambiance -- think lots of sumptuous Thai silk and gold statues. And this location even has a full room sized lotus pond and waterfall! After you lose your shoes and relax with some herbal tea, you are guided to a massage cubicle where you change into loose-fitting Thai fisherman cottons -- the knots hiding in your back haven't a chance of escaping your therapist. The universe quickly reduces to listening to the trickle of the waterfall and soothing music (sometimes Thai, sometimes meditative), and feeling amazing things happening to your muscles and connective tissues. Thai massage include guided yoga stretches as well as attention to pressure points and hidden banks of tension. If you like a strong, results-oriented massage, they will oblige you. The minutes tick off all too fast as the new you emerges, and as you exit you will feel that you have gained a foot in height and have transferred to Moon gravity. You'll probably decide that now a brisk walk along the Embarcadero would be grand.
