I am VERY fussy about my hair, and I?ve been looking for the ideal hairdresser ever since I moved to the Bay Area 10 years ago. There were times when I thought I had found The One, but I was always mistaken -- until I discovered DORITT at STUDIO LAGORIO. DORITT had been highly recommended by a friend, so I decided to take a chance. Am I glad I did! I?ve had my hair professionally colored for almost 30 years, and until my appointment with DORITT I had never encountered anyone who was as creatively appropriate for me as she is. She seemed to understand exactly what I wanted and also knew what would look good on me. Not only did she gave me a 2-color carmel-like hue, which was gorgeous, but she also gave me a slight trim/re-shaping of a bad 2-week old haircut, which instantly transformed the old haircut into a beautiful new one! And she is SOOO nice! As for Studio Lagorio, it is a beautifully-decorated small salon just a few minutes? walk from the Embarcadero BART station ? an ideal location, in my view. I am so grateful to DORITT, and I can?t wait for my next appointment -- I think I have finally scored a jackpot!! more

Doritt Ernst is the best hair stylist and colorist I have ever seen. Extremely creative, she can be avant garde, and also quite conservative. She did the hair of the bride and bridesmaids for a wedding. It was absolutely stunning. She works very well with color, and has an artist's eye for color. more

Whenever i fly into San Francisco, I always make it a point to get my hair done by Doritt! EVERY time she never lets me down! I always feel like a new woman after leaving her chair. Erin has been my sytlist for over two years. She does a fantastic job cutting my hair, is flexible in scheduling appointment, and has a very positive attitude. I am a guy who actually enjoys going to get a haircut! Plus the salon is in the financial district and maintains regular working hours (unlike most other salons). I have since changed jobs and work near the Civic Center, but continue to return to Erin for my monthly haircut. more

I would recommend this salon. My hair had been in pretty bad shape since I got them permed 3 months ago. I hated the moment I had those perm but was stuck with it. I had silky long straight hair before and have been feeling kinda low since this perm disaster. My hair was dry and frizzy but the good part was that the new hair growing was straight, therfore I wanted to get rid of as much as bad hair I could. I knew I need to keep cutting my hair in stages to ged rid of the bad hair as I dont want to go short.My hair stylist was Julie. She understood my hair needs and was very patient with the questions that I had. I walked out of the salon feeling great and just loved my hair cut.The other staff was also friendly, so all in all a good expierence. more

I've only been to this gary patrick location twice after going to the pleasanton location before i moved here. I'm a big fan of this salon. They seem to take great pride in their stylists and all know their stuff. I've been going to Erin since I've moved here and both cuts were great. They grew out very nicely so I didn't have to go back as soon as the layers got long. She recommended great products, and my deep conditioning treatment kept my hair silky and smooth for a very long time. It's pricey, but not as much as I expected and very worth it in my opinion. When I saw their profile on city search, I was very impressed! because they are the one and only salon that actually put in writing that all of their stylist are trained in NYC Bumble 'n Bumble!! My old stylist in portland were trained in NYC Bumble 'n Bumble and she was really skilled and talented. So, I took a chance at this salon with Julie and let me tell you...that I was soo happy with the results!! I have thick and coarse asian hair that could be really difficult to handle if the cut is terrible..but Julie knows what she's doing. She colored my hair darker with subtle caramel highlites (just like I asked her to do) then she cut and layered my hair very precise and with good technique too! She actually listen to what I wanted and with her skills and talent..she did a wonderful job!! I know for sure that I don't have to go back within 3 months to fix the color or the cut..and when you know that you could go on for several months not getting a haircut and it still looks good that means the haircut or color was done professionally!! My cousin got her hair done with Julie and her highlites were soo beautiful too! Seriously..invest ur money in this salon and you wont regret it!! The place is very cozy and relaxing..the stylists are skilled, talented, professional and friendly too! they offer drinks and offer to take ur coat the first thing when u arrive...now that's what I call Customer Service!! =) not to mention they carry Bumble 'n Bumble! what more can you ask for? This salon is very trustworthy and I will definitely come back in the future! I have finally found my salon!! Pros: Skilled Stylists, Cozy place and Great Customer Service!! I have been going to Julie (the owner) for years, she does the most excellent color and the cut is always marvelous! I highly recommend this salon-gracious staff, great location and Bumble & Bumble product. What more could you ask for? more

I wasn't sure what to expect here as the name and website didn't do much for me but it is super close to my work and they're an exlusive bumble and bumble salon so I figured they'd know their stuff. I was right, Erin did my hair and she's been there for years. She was very knowledgable and helpful in helping me choose a new do and products. They have really great hours so those of you in the financial district can get a cut, color, style during lunch breaks or after work. I highly recommend this place. They'll be chaning their name soon though, so keep an eye out of that, but I'm not sure what te new name will be. Pros: Erin, stylists more

These people know what we are doing! I had a great experiance and I got an amazing cut and great highlight in less then 2 hours. They were very friendly and they are knowledgeable with Bumble and bumble products. I would definately recommend any of these stylist they all really perform like a team! This salon is my favorite place for a hair cut--the people who work there are super friendly, the prices are reasonable, and the cuts are perfect! I've gotten many complements on my hair. Their blowouts are amazing, too!! I highly recommend it. Plus its close to work, so I can just walk over....ideal!
