Starbucks Coffee

Sure, Starbucks doesn't have local character; neither do the other chain coffee shops, like Dunkin Donuts and Wawa. Why go to Starbucks? You always get consistent quality and cleanliness. Service is usually top-notch, too. more

Why shop at the same coffee store that's taking over every corner in every US city, when there are so many great, local, personal and unique coffee shops in the city? more

I can't stand this place. You really can't do any better than Dunkin Donuts, or even Wawa coffe is better than this starbucks. It's like this Starbucks is shunned by all other ones and so it only gets the dirty coffee beans and gross pastries. I don't even think it's good for lounging and wasting time. Avoid this place. more

I don't know what the big hubub is about Starbucks coffee, especially around here where you can getthe infinitely better Dunkin Donuts or Wawa coffee for a lot cheaper. It's just terrible. Anywhere else will have better tasting coffee, any little corner store. Do yourself a favor and avoid at all costs. more

I normally am a big fan of Starbucks even though it is a massive chain - I like their dark roasts, particularly the Sumatra. However, I recently tried to study at this particular Starbucks and had a horrible experience. For one thing, in the middle of August in Philly, it was not air-conditioned. For another, although it is located in a very hot area with high demand, the store is small and there are not nearly enough tables for all the people who want to use them. And finally, this may have reflected the particular day and lack of air conditioning, but the store had several visible baby carriages and the pungent aroma of dirty diapers which disgusted me. For such a big company, this particular store is a poor representative of the brand. more
