Fine dining it's not 8/21/2005

I recently had the opportunity to eat at Richie's Drive Inn in Kalihi. The interior screams fast food with bright orange plastic benches. However, folks coming to Richie's aren't looking for fine dining. They are looking for fast service, lots of food, and very little coming out of their wallets. Richie's hits all three of these objectives. I had a cheeseburger, french fries (hot and crispy), and a strawberry slush (too bad they didn't offer ice cream with it) all for under four bucks. more

Great food, and lots of it! 8/17/2005

I've been eating at Richie's in Kalihi for nearly 20 years, since I graduated from High School. Anyway the popular dishes with the locals are the BBQ meat plates, and the combination plate (breaded chicken, fish, BBQ meat). The chili dog and drink combination is another favorite. They also have great breakfast specials that include homemade corned beef hash with 2 eggs and rice. more
