Charming salon with a terrific group of talented stylists. Everyone is super accommodating. It has a great atmosphere and is reasonably priced. They are all outstanding with color and cuts. Book early!! more

If you're looking for a great cut and color in a trendy and friendly environment..Red Union salon is PERFECT! The stylists make you feel like you're part of the family and are more than accommodating. I went in with plain brown hair and average cut and left feeling like a new & confident woman. Erika was terrific! Pros: Fun & down to earth stylists that make you look amazing! Cons: A little pricey but well worth it! more

I was referred to Jonathan at Red Union by a friend ... and boy am I glad! It's funny - I'm finding that guys whose hair I admire al seem to go to Jonathan! If you like great color and an edgy cut - go see Jonathan! Pros: Great personal style. Easy, fun manner. Quality workmanship. Cons: As with ALL things San Francisco - parking! more

My hair color is finally right! 7/7/2008

Erika is the first person who has gotten my hair coloring perfect. Can't believe I came home and my daughter, my biggest critic, loved the color and the cut. The Salon is trendy, upscale, fun and they take great care of you. Pros: ambience, experience, professionalism, great skills, my hair expertly colored and cut! more

Great place to get a haircut 6/2/2008

There's something about having knowledgeable, nice, joke-cracking, sincere hair stylist. Sometimes a great haircut is hard to obtain in the city, but it is not the case here at Red Union. A big thank-you to Erika Redding for her patience, personality, and professional stance. I'll go get my fourth haircut from her in the near future. more

I have been going to Red Union for a year and a half. Mika is my stylist. She listens to what I want everytime. She is so artistic in the way she cuts and colors, which is so comforting. She has helped me with changing my hair style, and making decisions on what looks best. I have sent so many of my friends to her and they have all been extremely happy. Oh and I get so many compliments since going to her. You will too I promise. They have gossip magazines to read, which I love, as well as featured artists artwork. She always offers me a cold beverage and she puts this heated rice pad around my neck. Of course this is for her most valued clients I assume (hehe). LOVE YOU MIKA!! best hair cut and color i have found in sf 3/22/2007

I have been to several salons in san francisco but the best hair cut and color by far has come from Mika at red union. She knows how to cut my hair so that i can wear it straight or curly. She transformed my dull hair into rock star hair. (NO JOKE) Pros: great neighborhood more

Best place to sit with a glass of wine and a warm neck pillow while getting your hair done. 3/22/2007

Red Union is a really great, totally chill place to have a hair-travaganza. It's tucked up on the second floor of a building on the corner of Union and Buchannan, and the people watching on the street is only a small part of the fun. Go to Mika -- she is the total stylist package. She can cut and color and style your hair like nobody's business. And the experience is delightful -- glass of wine, warm neck pillow, ottoman for putting your feet up while looking out the 2nd floor window at the folks strolling along Union Street. And the tunes are perfect -- from ABBA to Scissor Sisters to Edith Piaff to Coldplay to Earth Wind and Fire-- they're always fun, but never overbearing or too loud. All the while Mika works away and makes you beautiful and fabulous-- men and women alike, as she works with both. more

Bobbie is truly an artist! 3/10/2007

It's hard to find someone who can cut curly hair properly and that is why Bobbie Artman is the only person I let touch my hair. She is the most talented and personable stylists I've ever met. What makes her so great is that you look amazing when you leave the salon and as time passes her cut grows out even better! more

Great place for cut and highlight. Ask for Erika! 2/3/2007

Erika was great. This was my first time at the salon and with her. She took the time to talk to me to see what I had in mind and make recommendations. I loved her soothing personality and I totally felt at ease with her. She recommended some products but no hard sell. I bought them and love them all. I have definitely found a new place to get my hair cut and highlighted. I'll be seeing Erika again really soon! more

Movie Star 6/22/2004

I can honestly say that Daniel Sims has cut and colored my hair so well that EVERY time I stepped out of the salon I got asked out or asked where I got my hair done. Bravo! more
