NO 2/14/2009

Bad. Having had many a good pho, we went here because they do vegetarian. Hey, it's by Green Lake, cool! I left with a imild headache coming on, I think from MSG, not sure. My wife and I vowed to never return. Only highly rated because ""Hey, it's by Green Lake, cool!""\r Try Viet Ahn by the space needle, really good. Pros: Location Cons: Food more

BEST PHO PLACE IN THE WORLD! 1/6/2009

this is a MUST place to go to! trust me you wont be disappointed! if your looking for something warm with a good price and something GREAT to eat. this is the place for you! its not your super fancy or fancy looking place, but it does the job to fill your stomach right away! service is GREAT and FAST! their like working bees moving back and forth. the cream puffs are bomb! you can take your gf/bf/friends/family. so many different noodle bowls to choose from. the sizes are unbelievable for the price you pay! i always order the XL bowl of pho and its huge! first time you will see it. it just amazes you how big it is! trust me they wont rip you off, they will give you the right amount of portion for what you buy! this is considered one of the places to eat before you die! Pros: cheap, fast service and great food Cons: no cons really, just the place looks normal and nothing fancy looking more

Hard not to love this place! 1/18/2008

I was surprised to find that I didn't already have a review for this place as I thought I'd reviewed everywhere I typically go. This is a standard place that I'll go at least once a week! I don't always go to this one on Aurora, up by Seattle Kung Fu Club and Stupid Prices, but I was actually there on Monday. It's not my fave, out of all of the Than Brothers, but it's still good! I typically go to either the Redmond location, the Edmonds one (I live right next to it!), or the one on the Ave. in the U-Dist., but this place is fantastic! Huge portions of delicious Pho at amazing prices, all served with a cream puff that is such a delicate tasty treat! It's not my most favorite Pho ever, but it's def the place I frequent the most and I love it! Service is what it is and it's not horrible. I can't believe people have to wait when they order, but I don't need to look at the menu so I order when they bring out the cream puffs, water, sprouts, and such.\r \r This is def a Seattle staple and deserves to be on the top of the Cheap Eats category! Pros: Great Pho, great prices, great cream puffs, great sizes! Cons: Cash Only. Parking isn't great at the one on Aurora, but you can park all on side streets or bus/walk. more

Creams Puffs Are a Plus 11/6/2006

My husband and I both love Pho - minus the onions and cilantro. Although we ordered our to-go orders that way, both came with both of these items. (There's an extra charge for to-go orders.) Someone demanded our order the minute we walked in (before even viewing the menu). Once we had had a chance to look the menu over it took several minutes before someone returned to take our order. The pho was ok - generous in size, but I've had better and the onions and cilantro were a disappointed. The cream puffs were delicious and helped to sooth the bad taste the aforementioned items left. more

One of the Best Pho in town 9/23/2006

Pros\r -Great service - serves food within minutes\r -Cream puff is one of a kind and worth additional side order for it\r -Pho is delicious\r -Reasonable price\r -Great quantity of pho, meat and broth for such a price\r \r Cons\r -Humid place\r -Leave undesirable odor on clothings\r -Cash only more

Average Pho 3/24/2006

The pho here is ok, but really potent and a bit on the salty side. I go to pho places all around the city, but don't go here because although the food is ok, the service is especially not friendly, and the restaurant is dirty, humid and -- DIRTY. Cons: Rude service, Dirty more

Red Lights = Don't go 3/7/2005

This is a poorly ventilated space lit with dim red lanterns all-in-all, quite seedy-looking. In addition, service here was much slower than at the other locations: nearly 5 minutes before I got a table, then 5 minutes more before anyone came to take my order. The place wasnt even half full! The pho seemed fine, though, but I couldnt actually see it very well in the low, red (eew) light. Paying my bill was yet another hassle; I waited at the counter for 10 minutes before I could get someone who knew how to work the cash register. Every order of pho comes with complementary bean sprouts, basil, jalape?o, lime, and cream puff. Expect to pay $5-8/person, with tax, but I suggest you save yourself the time and money by going to a different TBP location instead, preferably the one in Edmonds. Pros: Value Cons: Seedy ambiance, Slow service more

Bargin Food! 6/13/2004

For under $5.00 you get a HUGE bowl of very yummy Pho, a plate of sprouts, cilantro, sliced hot pepper, limes, and a cream puff that melts in your mouth. Service is amazingly fast, fast, fast! Best bargin in seattle, and they have another store on Broadway on Capitol Hill. Pros: Good food, Fast service, Excellent bargin more

Best Pho in Seattle 6/12/2004

I am writing a review for this location and the Capitol hill location. I must note that the Than Brothers in the University District DOESN'T have veggie Pho. The price here is so great! You get a bowl of soup that would feed an army for $4.50. I'm an average sized girl and can barely take down a small! If you've never had Pho you don't know what you missing! They bring you a bowl with broth, mushrooms, tofu, onions, and noodles. Then on the side they bring you a plate with veggies which you add to your liking. The cream puffs are NOT vegan. Overall this is such a fun dinner experience, this would be a great place to bring your date before heading to the bars on capitol hill. Try the lemonade! Pros: Great food, Great date resturant, Wonderfully low price more

Best Pho on the Ave 1/26/2004

The *BEST* Pho on the Ave at least, and probably in all of Seattle. Service is lightning fast, the prices don't go up(The Large is still jnder 5$ w/ tax) and the food is delicious. AND you get desert first, a tastly cream puff. Mmmmm... Pros: Inexpensive, Delicious, Fast service Cons: Crowded at lunchtime more

My Fave Is The One On Market In Ballard 2/18/2003

It's the cleanest and newest and can't be beat for the value and delicious pho! It hits the spot when you want yummy fresh soup for lunch! Pros: The one on Market is the newest and cleanest. Cons: Cash only can be a pain. more
