This is the best pho I've had in years! Everything is perfect! The broth is very flavorful and fragrant, the staff is very helpful and kind, and and the menu is expansive. I can eat there every day of my life and die a happy camper! Pros: Food, Menu, Service Cons: Chop sticks are very slippery plastic. more

I love the pho here & I used to come all the time when I ate more meat. However, I think Sunflower on 183 has even better pho and a much more diverse menu if you like Vietnamese food. Additionally, since turning to a vegetarian diet, the choices here are extremely limited, as is the menu in general. Yes, yes, the broth is amazing, but the service is less than desirable. \r \r When I ordered my most recent lunch (veggie pho) and went for pick-up, I found out that the broth is actually meat based even in this dish. When I made mention that this fact had not been brought to my attention when I ordered, and that perhaps they should tell other vegetarian customers before they order things they can't eat, I got this response: ""Oh, you should try #38 (as far as I can tell the only veggie item on the menu) next time"". (Yes, yes, I've had your tofu vermicelli my last 4 visits- I was hoping to sample something else!) Now, really, is one good broth worth all that?\r \r Note: I've tried to explain here that I also saw something disgusting in their facility one time, but citysearch says I'm not allowed to mention it here. Pho Hoang has been my favorite place to eat pho in Austin. I insist that you eat only the pho. I'm a regular there; however, they disappointed me on Dec. 8,2007. I ordered the usual, which is the beef pho with my usual request (slices of raw beef on a separate plate). The pho was not hot enough to cook my slices of beef. When I brought it to their attention, they did not seem to care. more

Very good Pho. Best fresh rolls I've had about anywhere in U.S. (I've been to Vietnam...). Great prices, very, very nice people. Easily best Pho I've had in Austin. Other dishes like Bun (cold vermicelli) and Com (rice dishes) very good to. Pros: Food, Nice Staff, Ambience (for a Pho restarant...) Cons: not close enough to my house more

Their pho is delicious! The broth was the most fragrant I've ever had! The fried egg roll is good too; you could tell they don't fry it til you order it. Only odd thing I saw was that there wasn't that spice visible in the sauce that accompanied the egg roll, but it was still good. Their pork & egg roll vermicelli is good too, with lots of meat/toppings! You get a lot for what you pay... I would recommend this place if you're craving a big bowl of pho! Pros: good Vietnemese food Cons: closes at 9pm more

The best thing to order here: The Pho. If you are unfamiliar with Pho, the best one to try is the #10. Cheap too! Other dishes (Vermicelli; Rice dishes) are OK but the Pho is the star. more
