Expert Massage 5/24/2004

I went to see Scott with a repetitive strain injury from too much computer work. Within 4 sessions I was feeling much better and able to participate in my regular activities. And I could sleep at night which was impossible before seeing Scott. Pros: Parking, knowledge more

A great sports massage! 5/24/2004

I am an avid triathlete and compete in 4-5 races each year. I have been receiving massage for 10 years and was very happy to have found Jennifer Ligthstone at PSOAS. I was having a hard time finding someone in SF who is a great therapist with an office (I don't like going to peoples homes), for a reasonable rate. Since she is a triathlete herself she knows what my body is feeling like after a 60 mile bike-ride. Her touch is sensitive, confident, and incredibly soothing. I would highly recommend Jenny to any athlete. Pros: evening hours, affordable, clean office more

PSOAS Recommendation 5/23/2004

I love Scott's holistic approach to coping with stress and pain. He has really helped me take a healthier approach to life with great recommendations for excercise and ergonomic changes for my workstation. His great attitude and professional demeanor make it easy to relax and the trigger point work we've done has almost totally eradicated my pain! Pros: great value, great results, great environment more

Results! 5/23/2004

I have chronic neck and shoulder pain and after receiving a massage from Jennifer, I really felt results! She used many different techniques to loosen my muscles and increase my mobility. I was amazed with the results and definetly recommend Jennifer! more

Highly recommended 5/22/2004

Scott Schwartz of PSOAS genuinely cares about improving his patients' well being. I am an active athlete, had chronic Achilles tendinitis in both ankles. I began seeing Scott once a week in January and undergoing a combination of deep tissue massage, ice and a unique series of stretches, which no other therapist had recommended. I felt a 100% improvement after a few weeks of treatments. I have spent money on other specialists for an assortment of running and other injuries and for my wellness Scott is the best sports massage specialist in San Francisco, bar none. Pros: Accessible parking, Very knowledgeable, Very Professional more

Recommend with no hesitation 5/22/2004

I own a fitness studio in San Franciso and frequently refer my clients to PSOAS. My clients expect a high level of skill and professionalism and PSOAS always delivers. In my opinion, their services are underpriced, but I'm not complaining. This means extra value for my clients. more

relief ! 5/22/2004

I met Scott Schwartz of Psoas Massage and Bodywork at a baseball tournament at the University of Massachuttes and I want to thank Scott for helping me relieve a nagging chronic and painful injury. After one 1/2-hour session, Scott alleviated a sharp and debilitating pain in my right forearm and elbow. Within 15 minutes after our session I was able to pitch 9 painless and scorless innings of baseball when just an hour earlier I was unable to throw at all. I must admit that initiallty, I was sceptical that anything could help the pain I have suffered since highschool, but I am now a believer and it feels great to throw again. I only wish I found his help years ago. Thanks again! more

Happy Customer 5/21/2004

I highly recommend PSOAS massage studio. They go beyond your basic massage. Jenny worked on me and her knowledge of anatomy and muscle groups could put some doctors to shame. She knew every thing wrong with me and where to find problem areas. My first visit was a well spent hour massage and I am now a weekly client. more

truly the best massage ever 5/21/2004

i went to scott for the first time when i was pregnant. he gave me a full body massage for general soreness and worked my muscles in ways that i had never experienced before. he seemed to master the fine balance of creating a relaxing effect while targeting deep tension. on another occasion i returned to scott because i had complete neck stiffness with limited range of movement. he spent about 45 minutes on my neck and shoulder area and by the next morning i had complete range of movement and overall relaxation. scott is attuned to your needs, skilled, professional and provides a wonderful massage experience. Pros: professional, skilled, exceptional more

Very Satisfied 5/21/2004

A friend recommended Scott to me after I threw my neck out. I literally couldnt drive; the pain kept me up at night and could barely last a full day at work. I had gone to Kaiser and all they could offer me were some prescriptions but nothing to deal with the actual cause of why my neck kept going out. Within two sessions with Scott, I had regained almost 100% mobility in my neck and the pain disappeared. A few sessions later, he had fully explained to me the overall factors causing my neck to go out and had given me a solid regime of stretches to ensure it wouldnt happen to me again. Scott has improved my quality of life, no question about it, I very highly recommend him. Pros: Professional, Flexible Schedule, Friendly more

massage for triathlete 5/20/2004

I started seeing Scott (at PSOAS) regularly for bodywork while training for the Wildflower Triathlon. I had major shin splints and pain in my right knee, and was having problems running. Scott was a miracle worker; I got immediate and long lasting results from his work and by the time of the race, I was running lighter, faster, and pain free. Scott has very strong, solid hands and uses specific deep pressure. He uses stretching techniques that are very effective which no other massage therapist has used on me. Scott is a very impressive massage therapist. Pros: knowledgeable, peaceful, positive results more
