Best

Great food and reasonable priced. And alway great service. Even when busy the service has always been exceptional. Great for large groups or if going to a movie. Pros: always ...

Worst

If you are a huge protien eater, this place may be for you, but I like some variety and vegetables in my meal. You certainly won't find it here. The spicey dishes are pretty good...

Need a salt lick? Then you're in luck! 3/31/2011

We went there in the middle of the afternoon. There were only two other tables occupied. Blaring over the speakers was a Top 40 radio station; so much for ambiance. The service was incredibly slow, especially considering the lack of patrons. The server, when she finally bothered to come out to us, didn't smile and seemed rather put out by having to deal with us. She actually rolled her eyes when I had a question about a dish because I have a food allergy. When our dishes were served, about half an hour after placing the order, they were tepid and salty enough to make Lot's wife seem like a low-sodium option. I sent my dish back, as I found it inedible. They brought me out another serving, which was just as salty. So I sent that back, too. At this point, a manager came out and offered a different dish, which, she claimed, wasn't as salty. When that dish came out, it tasted like someone had dumped blackstrap molasses all over some stir-fried beef and vegetables. By this time, my companion had long finished (luckily for him, he has a much higher tolerance for bad food, having been at sea in the military), as it took twenty minutes for each dish to be served. We weren't charged for any of the dishes brought to me, which is just as well, since I didn't eat them. The manager spoke very kindly to me. If you have a palate for good-tasting Asian cuisine, this may not be the restaurant for you. Personally, the only good thing about the food I had was that I didn't get violently ill after eating four bites. I felt the prices were high, although I suppose they need to pay for the salt mines they're depleting somehow. more

never disappoints 6/19/2010

Great food and reasonable priced. And alway great service. Even when busy the service has always been exceptional. Great for large groups or if going to a movie. Pros: always great service Cons: parking can get crazy more

Great value and many veggie selections 6/15/2008

I don't eat at the restaurant. It's just too loud in there for me. It's over crowded most of the time too. I love take out though. I can get my faves: Veggie Fried Rice, Chicken w/Black Bean Sauce, Coconut Curry w/ tofu, Chang's Ribs or Tofu Lettuce Wraps (depending on how much meat I want to consume) and the deep fried Green Beans. So, I get 5 different foods in good sized portions, and the food will last 3 days Lunch and Dinner....just me. All for about $45.00. I consider that a good deal for restaurant food that I can eat for that many days in such variety. Of course, I don't do this every week, but I do once a month or so. Love it. Pros: Variety of food and cost Cons: Don't care for the dining atmosphere or noise level in restaurant more

I must be ""snakebit"", as I've tried this place 3 times and had 3 bad meals! 6/10/2008

I've eaten at the Southdale PF Chang's a couple of times and while the ambience is very nice and the service is top notch, I had mediocre food both evenings. I even tried the PF Chang's in Las Vegas and had the worst Kung Pao I've ever had. It's only one of 3, or 4 times in my life that I've sent food back as absolutely inedible! Everyone I know that I have talked to about this chain loves the food, the setting and the service - I just must be unlucky at PF Chang's! Pros: Great service and ambience Cons: I've not had a good meal there yet and have given up! more

Best Chinese Food!!! 5/25/2008

All I have to say is, I have never had a bad experience going to this place, which has been many times. The food is always right, service always friendly, and it's not too pricey. I am a vegetarian and it is finally nice to be able to go to a place that can cater to vegetarians. Thanks PF chang! Pros: Everything. Cons: Sometimes can be a little loud if you want a quiet place. more

The atmosphere is great! 11/2/2007

I have been this restaruant for several times. Generally speaking, it's good restaurant if you compare with all other Chinese restaurants in twin Cities. And you still can not say that the food is too bad if you have been China and had those really delious Chinese food. The only unpleasant experience was that they took too long time to serve you -- asking order, sending food and taking bill... oh and returning your card. more

TREAT YOUR TASTE BUDS!!!!! 4/23/2007

Pros: Service, Attentiveness, Organization Cons: Dim dinner lighting, Crowded Entrance, Slightly Loud more

TERRIBLE! 1/19/2007

I will NEVER GO BACK! I saw my server scratch his head, wipe his nose, then proceed to touch my food! I also have heard many negative comments about the management and how the restaurant is run. (Obviously, considering I make reservations for 7 and I dont get in until 8!!!!) I will never go back, nor will the people I work with, my family, or my friends. Pros: Usually good food Cons: lighting, the WAIT(even with reservations) and snotty employement (management) more

The corner booths are romantic 11/19/2006

We went for a date night & ended up in a big corner booth. It was fun! The meal was very spicy & the waiter refilled our glasses at least 4 times without us saying anything. They do make a great Mojito too.. Pros: ambiance more

Always a good experience! 3/27/2006

PF Chang's is one of my favorite restaurants in the twin cities area. The food is excellent! My favorite is the Kung Pao Chicken. The Lo Mein is also very good! I have never had any bad food here. They have also started taking reservations and I have never had a problem getting in when I was supposed to. I love going here and recommend it to anyone I can! They have complimentary valet parking, because parking can be so difficult sometimes! Pros: Complimentary Valet, Takes reservations, Food is great Cons: Parking hard to find more

Reservations don't help!! 11/21/2005

I dine at a number of restaurants on a regular basis, and PF Change does something horrible that no other restaurant does: they *always* make you wait for a table even though you have reservations. Last Friday, we had reservations for 8pm. We arrived at 7:55p and were handed a pager. At 8:15p I asked what the deal was. They said they would seat us ""any minute"". Finally, at 8:25p we were seated. 10 minutes later our server finally showed up. Every time I've gone there, it's been the same story, so obviously they don't plan to respect their reservations. I won't go back, I like their food, but the service is annoying. Pros: good food Cons: wait for tables more

GREAT chain. 9/23/2005

Alright, so I'm embarrassed to write but P.F. Changs is excellent. Being a foodie, I usually wouldn't go to a chain restaurant. The food and ambiance here is great. I LOVE the pin rice noodle soup (spicy goodness) and the mongolian beef with veggies added. Additionally, the mango chicken is excellent. I also like that they offer both brown and jasmine rice. Pros: Food., Ambiance Cons: Spendy, Location (I'm DT), Parking. more

This does not taste like Chinese food 2/28/2005

is this restaurant serve chinese food? you must be kidding. Pros: environment Cons: food more

All around goodness! 5/25/2004

I have gone to PF Chang's quite a few times and never had a bad experience. Everything I have ate there has been excellent. They have even made things extra spicy at my request! The Lo Mein, Kung Pao Chicken, and the best is the lettuce Wraps. If you need more lettuce, just ask and the will give you more. Service is excellent and this place is well worth the wait. Call ahead though because this place gets crowded. Valet parking is complimentary so you don't have to worry about finding a parking spot in the crowded lot! Pros: Great Food, Complimetary Valet more

Seating According to Party Size 4/18/2004

If you are a part of a party of 4, and a group of 6 walks in after you, they will be seated before you if a table for 6 is available, even if your party of 4 had RESERVATIONS. PF Chang's tries to maximize their dining capacity even if it means smaller parties have to wait long even if they were there first. I used to really like PF Chang's, but I grew tired of their seating games. If you don't believe me, just observer the game next time you go. Pros: Good Food, Okay Price more

Extremely Well Done 3/30/2004

My GF and I recently dined at PF Chang's at the newly-opened Maple Grove location and had a great experience. The atmosphere is very comfortable with dim lighting, oriental decor, and comfortable temperature (a highly important feature for the widely-abundant temperature sensitive females out there). The bar scene is classy with an extensive wine and drink list that provided a comfortable setting while waiting for a table. The martinis were particularly good. Service was top-notch with pleasant staff and glasses always full. Great food came out incredibly quickly, with more-than-ample portions. A quick note to those out there with Gluten-intolerance -- PF Changs is one of the very few oriental restaurants to not utilize flour products in preparing many of their entrees. Overall a great inexpensive experience sure to attract many that inevitably become regulars. Pros: Atmosphere, Food & Service, Affordability Cons: , Table Wait Time more

Pf Chang's 11/26/2003

Excellent food, great service staff, good prices. The only drawback is that I can't eat as much as I want to eat of the great food. more

Call ahead for 11:45.... 10/6/2003

...which we did and even though it was lunch time, it was a great idea. The service was good even while the restuarant was busy- very attentive. Our group of 4 liked our meals. Szechuan Chicken Chow Fun, Kung Pao Chicken, Lo Mein, and Coconut Curry Chicken. We had lettuce wraps and sechuan cucumbers for appetizers. The wraps were good, but 5 pieces of letttuce for all the meat isn't enough. I would recommend it to try it, but know what you like or what you would like to share. Pros: Service, Food and Menu, Ambience/Decor Cons: Crowded more

Good but... 4/21/2003

I have eaten at PF Chang's quite a few times...it's good. Not the best, but good. The wait tends to get a little long, especially on weekends. They do not take reservations, however, you can call ahead. The Mongolian Beef is delicious and a must try, even for those who have not liked it at other restaurants. Service has always been very good. Pros: Good Service Cons: Loud when crowded, Long Waits more
