YET ANOTHER 5 STAR REVIEW!!!!!!! I love this vet hospital and feel so LUCKY that I found them! I had a very bad experience at Banfield on the Wellness plan, and will never go that...

All reviews seem positive

They are very helpful and kind there. 10/3/2008

I came in and was so worried about my lab. They took time to squeeze my sweet dog in during their already busy day. They really took the time to make both my dog and myself feel special and truely cared for. They even called in the next day to check on things. I could tell they were very sincere and really want what is best for me and my dog Kohana. :) more

They truly care about animals 9/18/2007

I've been taking my cats to Northwest Veterinary hospital for 20 years, and have been impressed by the good service and caring attitude. They realize that the biggest factor in the animal's health is the way the owner cares for it, and they are very helpful in working with you to make it do-able to handle special diets, dental care, medications, etc. (If you tell them the cat won't take a particular pill, they'll help you figure out a way to get the medication in another form, etc.) They are very good about getting you into appointments on time, and fitting you in if your pet has an emergency. Recently our 17-year-old cat (who'd been seen there since she was a kitten) was dying of cancer. She took a turn for the worse overnight, and in the morning it was clear that it was time to put her down. When we called, they didn't have space in the schedule, but when we explained what the problem was, they told us to come in. We discovered that they had called another doctor on their staff to come in on her day off so our cat wouldn't have to keep suffering. Very, very impressive. more

My kitten died there 6/28/2006

I had a kitten die there while getting neutered. They are good vets and they mean well, but to have a kitten die during such a routine procedure was disheartening. more

Great service, good advice. 8/17/2005

If you're looking for a vet, please contact this office. They were recommended to us by some friends, and we've been going to Dr. Nathanson ever since. She's been a great help when dealing with our older cat, and she has always given us good advice. This office is not about encouraging you to get every test under the sun done on your pet. They are honest and understanding when you need them to be. more

very nice veterinary hospital 8/8/2005

New to Seattle, I found Northwest Veterinary recommended by someone else on Judy's Book. I have to say I agree with the good review that the person gave to this vet hospital. All the staff was very pleasant, the place was clean, and the 3-minute way was the shortest I've ever experience at a vet (or a human doctor for that matter). The doctor patiently answered all my questions. She was a temporary sub for a doctor who's away, so it seems like they take care not to be short-staffed. The one reason that I didn't give this place 5 stars is that the basic visit fee is somewhat high - $50. Maybe this is the going Seattle rate, but I paid $30 at previous vet's in Massachusetts and California. more

green lake/wallingford vet clinic 7/1/2005

i've taken my dog to Northwest Veterinary Hospital for years and all the vets are very nice, good with the animals and able to clearly explain what they are doing or what is wrong and how to fix it. i've even been able to get my dog in on short notice- as in 'hi my dog has a bloody ear.... 15 minutes? sure, i can be there". The waiting room is nice, they sell dog and cat food and basic products, the receptionist always makes you feel like you have the cutest, smartest or sweetest animal ("who wants a cookie?"). They rarely use the metal tables in the exam rooms and in fact now they have the kind that fold up onto the wall which i think greatly decreases the animal's stress. I've never had a major pet emergency or illness so I can't speak to that aspect but for routine health I think they are great. more
