The quality at this place seems to keep going down. I guess if you want tacos and beans and cheese and salsa mixed together and called mexican food. I'm just not impressed anym...

Always hits the spot! 7/16/2005

Mama's is a fun and cheap place for the whole family. There is plenty of kitsch to keep young eyes occupied. The service is always fast. The Elvis Room is always a fun place to eat also. As usual the only con is the parking situation in Belltown. Bring on the cheese and margarita! more

A very unique dining experience! 7/12/2005

I can't say Mama's will every be accused of being Mexican cuisine of the year BUT definitely coolest Mexican restaurant!! Mamas is unexplainable. Its like a mexican diner with personaility. LOTS of personality. There is dining party grafitti throughout, and very unique decor. The food itself oddly from my perspective all looks and tastes the same. I have tried many different items on the menu yet each time Id swear it was the item I ordered the last time. Also EVERYTHING is covered in a layer of cheese. So I hope you like cheese and and a mexican diner experience. If so go to Mamas. more

Margaritas and Mexican Food....a great combo 6/16/2005

Mama's is like its name -- simple, comfortable, and homey. The restaurant is a solid performer in the reasonable cost Mexican food category in Seattle. We used to go there all the time with my family... I haven't been back recently, mostly because the location is a bit sketch but writing this review reminds me how much I liked going to this place for Margaritas and Mexican food. It's back on my list of places to go -- thanks for prompting me to write and thus, inadvertently reminding me of it. more

    We're a family-owned, kid-friendly restaurant. The Mama in Mama's Mexican Kitchen was our grandmother, whose delicious recipes we carry on. Mama's grandchild Mike and great grandchildren work here.

    We have a great place for large groups in our spectacular Elvis Room, sure to provide great ambiance for your birthday celebration, other private party or special event. For strolling Mariachis, stop by on Tuesday night for some great music to compliment you're dining.

    Enjoy sidewalk dinning in the spring and summer. We're open everyday for lunch and dinner. The menu includes daily lunch specials and vegetarian choices.
