KC's pastries offers very unique and mouth watering pastries. They combine Indian, CHinese and traditional italian pastries with a french twist. Their chinese buns and chicken curry buns are out of this world. The prices are dirt cheap. THey have marvellous pastries as well especially the coconut pastries. This is one of our favorite bakeries. I often stop in here on my way out of Philly so that i can bring home a bunch of goodies. At about sixty cents a pastry this is an amazing bargain. They offer all kinds of sweet and savory buns. A few family favorites are the swiss rolls and the butter cream or coconut buns. The savory chicken curry bun is delicious!! This is a great place for a quick portable bun or two for lunch and the kids will love the pastry wrapped hot dogs! more

There are plenty of Chinese bakeries in Philadelphia Chinatown and most products are available throughout the bakeries like roast pork bun, custard cream tort. But KC's has been consistent throughout the years. They open early in the morning for those who want to grab an inexpensive breakfast meal. You would pay around $1.70 for coffee and a bun. Try their Hong Kong style Iced Tea with milk, it's the best in Chinatown. They also carry birthday/wedding cakes and can be order way in advance. more

I feel pity for those who have never tasted the goodness of chinese bakeries. The KC's pastries are incredibly cheap, fresh and delicious. Most items are 60 cents, and this place is so popular that you're guaranteed to find everything to be quite fresh. They're perfect for breakfast, snacks, something to offer your house guests... Their selection varies per day, and possibly per hour, but in any case they will have over 20 fresh selections for sure. A very good assortment of cakes and refrigerated items can also be found here anytime. In addition to chinese items they also feature many european items. If you ever happen to pass by, you should also give their bubble (boba/tapioca) drinks a try as well; unlike many others they make fresh ones such as watermelon and cantaloupe which will have you keep running back to get more... more

KC's Pastries offers a whole smorgasbord of affordable bakery treats. They have mousse, swiss rolls, egg tarts, and even croissants! Expect to pay only about 60 cents to a dollar for these products. I especially love the bubble shakes they sell here. Yum! KC's does not have anywhere to sit however, and that is what I don't like about their shop. Otherwise, the products taste great, the prices are right, and the experience is unmatched. I prefer this bakery over many others in this area. more
