I feel pity for those who have never tasted the goodness of chinese bakeries. The KC's pastries are incredibly cheap, fresh and delicious. Most items are 60 cents, and this place is so popular that you're guaranteed to find everything to be quite fresh. They're perfect for breakfast, snacks, something to offer your house guests...
Their selection varies per day, and possibly per hour, but in any case they will have over 20 fresh selections for sure. A very good assortment of cakes and refrigerated items can also be found here anytime. In addition to chinese items they also feature many european items.
If you ever happen to pass by, you should also give their bubble (boba/tapioca) drinks a try as well; unlike many others they make fresh ones such as watermelon and cantaloupe which will have you keep running back to get more...

Borders is awesome, but I've been particularly pleased with this one during my visits. I browse bookstores frequently, mostly interested in digital arts, photography and fantasy fiction. Although the store seems like it is small, I've figured out that this borders had some of the rarer titles which I wasn't able to find in most others.
Overall my borders expectations are generally good, but I was surprised at the inventory in this one. If you like these subjects, you should take a look here.

This bookstore is good. It's a lot smaller than many of the famous bookstore chains in the united states, but the diversity of their titles is actually quite amazing.
With a friendly cafe on the top level which is usually full at peak hours, this store is a good alternative in a place without too many casual bookstores. Inside Penn Book Center you will find overpriced apparel and a small, nifty computer store where you could also buy some items which might be hard to find around the area...

This greyhound is trouble. I've met one manager who was intelligent enough for their job, but everyone else here is probably just gathered up from the streets. First of all, plan to arrive at your destination one hour later than what was advertised... In the last month I've had two occasions where the drivers did not know where in the destination city the greyhound bus station was!
I have no other means of semi-affordable travel therefore I have to use their service frequently. In my travels, I've been directed to wrong buses by the clerks and insulted by the ticket officers on different occasions.
Apart from waiting a whole minute between taking my information and not listening to what I'm saying, yesterday when I asked them about what times are available for travel, the clerk at the ticket office replied "I don't know".
Yeah, avoid greyhound if you can...

The camera shop is good, but it's mostly geared towards traditional cameras from my understanding. I would've been happier to see more products that have to do with digital cameras (including SLR equipment).
I was also looking for a handheld lighting device when I came here; I know these can be hard to find, but these camera shops do not have the best selection considering that they ARE camera shops...
This is why tech shopping's tilting towards online, inventory limitations..

I needed a car to move my things to philadelphia for the summer, and I rented it from enterprise. It was easy, and they had a good selection of sizes available for rent as long as you reserved a car a few days beforehand.
The prices were good and they had some deals going on, plus they had a number of different insurance options. Few places are this flexible for people under 25 years of age, and this makes enterprise a good choice for those of us.
I also received a free upgrade since they had found out something was wrong with the car I was supposed to be getting...

The restaurant itself has a nice air and is well decorated, but don't be upheld by that; this place is a joke. Their bubble tea is enormously overpriced, their vietnamese hoagies are just sandwiches, and their korean barbeque chicken wraps just chicken finger wraps with joe's bbq sauce on them. You could probably get the same food for one fourth the price at your university commons. I haven't seen much else other than these, but this place is operated by asian-wannabe-whites who don't have a clue to what they are doing.
Always ask about what you are ordering, because it's quite likely that you will not get what you expect. If you inquire, the waiters will admit that their food is americanized and nothing like what you would find at a cheap store in chinatown.
If you decide to go here nonetheless, I advise you to try out their pepperjack-duck samosas. At 2$ a piece, this expensive delicacy might be one of the few things of value in this store.

Wegman's is quality. If you care about what you eat, then you mourn the diminishing quality of produce in america in since the advent of walmart. You know that organic products are better than hormone filled veggies which will cause your children to mutate into having three legs. Aside from jokes, wegman's quality is unmatched. Though a bit on the pricey side, they provide fresh produce, great olive and cheese bars, ready-to-eat prepared foods which rivals home cooking, and many alternatives that will make your stomach happy.

This underground supermarket is located in chinatown, and is very convenient compared to the bigger and better ones such as ASSI. It is much smaller, but they provide a good amount of variety, which is quite hard to get within the center city. Most other ones simply provide the same thing in 20 different brands anyway, therefore the only difference you'll probably notice is that there's less brands here.
Other than that, the prices are good enough for their location, and is a good place to stop by.

This monstrosity called ASSI is a haven of asian shopping. Originally a korean store, it features items from a huge variety of asian cultures.
It is one of the biggest asian shopping centers one could find in the United States, and the availability of the food is overwhelming to the degree that one would feel that they're in actually asia.
I wouldn't know where to begin if I started counting their items, and if you want something, you can probably find it here.
Apart from food, you can get korean music/dvds, pastries and gift items in a special section of the plaza, which are quite hard to come by in America. I would also recommend the boba drink shop's snow bobas.
