My Kiddos Love This Place. 4/5/2012

My kiddos started at Gramm's at the beginning of the year and we love it! We don't have a complaint in the world about the staff or directors. Our family has become very close to the Director and the Asst. Director, both are young and hip and are in total control of the center and the center's staff. If we ever have a question, they have an answer. Every time we go to pick up our kids the director is walking around saying hello to parents and greeting children, she always has a smile on her face and the teachers are the same way. No matter what kind of day they had, they are always happy and courteous. more

Wouldn't recommend it to my worst enemy 9/29/2011

I had my son there for nearly four years. In the beginning it was a great daycare, when the director was actually running the place. Once her grandaughter took over it steadily go worse. She is very unqualified and has personal issues. Needless to stay my son received a black eye twice in two monthes. I have him in a new daycare that is much cheaper and doesnt charge you unnecessary fall and spring fees for nothing. more

Great Daycare Center 5/6/2011

I love this daycare center! My baby started going to this center 3 weeks ago (she was 6 weeks old) and I've been very pleased with the director and staff. Everyone greets you by the time you walk in, and with a smile. My husband and I checked all the accreditations, training, background checks, etc., and everything is within state/national standards. I call there anytime I want, to check on my baby and they are always respectful and are more than happy to tell me how she's happy. I recommend this daycare center to anyone. more

A Second Family to Your Children 9/11/2009

Gramma's Place is a wonderful place to take children. When I took my child there I was able to ask questions that most daycares would not answer or would avoid, I was able to see all CPR and FA certificates, unlike what one of the reviews read. I was also able to go online and see all of the daycares past inspections, unlike what one review said. All teachers are required by the owner to have at least 30 to 40 hrs of workshops each year. All employees have FBI background checks and more. All teachers were friendly and loving towards the children. The three year old room and the pre- kinder room have an elementary school set up and schedule. My child learned how to write all of his letter, knew his numbers, days of the week, months, year, shapes and colors, and the big plus, he knew them in english and in spanish. This daycare is wonderful and I could not have asked for better. Even though this daycare is set in a neighborhood, it is a daycare, not a home daycare. It is a small big business, holding spaces for 67 children and 10 teachers and one full time cook! Which is a big plus, your child will always eat GOOD food! If you are looking for child care in San Antonio, try Gramma's first, I know you'll love it! Pros: awesome staff, cool gramma, strong foundation for your child Cons: they only accept children from 6weeks to 5 years more

Best Daycare Bar None!!! 12/19/2007

Gramma's Place is the best daycare my wife and I have ever heard of. The providers are not only bilingual but care for each and every child as if they were their own. We had our child enrolled in another daycare and was constantly worried about his wellbeing. With Gramma's we always feel as if he is in his second home. God Bless Gramma and her staff. Pros: Awesome care. more

Miss our Daycare 11/28/2007

We had our children enrolled in Grammas, my oldest as early as 6mths and the youngest as soon as 3mths. Together we raised respectable young boys and they loved their school. Teachers were bi-lingual and that was a bonus. The director is older and I admit a little old-fashioned in her views but wise in her years. If for some reason you had problems, you have to admit being a first time parent you are over cautious. But to question everything the center was doing-obviously you didn't research enough to see if you were both compatable. If the question occurs why my children are no longer enrolled, we were enlisted military and had a change of venue. For a center to have enrolled over 60 children and for all of the staff to know each by name, that's remarkable. My kids learned so much and my oldest was prepared for Kindergarten. more

Intimidating 8/6/2002

My son, an infant, attended this day care and I only had problems with it. This is my first child and the director/owner and some of her staff made me feel intimidated any time I questioned their actions. I was told I complained too much and was asked to take my son out of the day care. After being yelled at by the director, she told us he had to be gone that day. I had to rush and find another day care which is so much better. I was supposed to receive two weeks notice according to the contract but after the way she treated me that day, even if my son could have stayed in the day care for the two weeks, I wouldn't have let him. This was my experience, hope it helps someone else!!! more
