They will feed you til you beg for mercy...SO GOOD 4/16/2006

My family loves coming here, it's one of our favorite places to meet up with longtime friends for dinner. It's located right off of Peachtree Street and you'll have to look for it behind Mick's because it's easy to miss the driveway. You'll want to go before 6:30, especially if you want to be able to talk to your party, because it gets VERY loud in here the later it gets. You must order both the bruschetta and the spinach salad, but if you only get one go for the spinach...it is the BEST salad anywhere of any type I've ever had. Other than that, go with your gut. I've never had a dish here that I didn't love. They feed you family style so there will be plenty for sharing. If you aren't sharing, order something in a half order or you will be taking a lot of food home (not that that's a bad thing!). The Mediterranean Garlic Steak is probably my favorite thing on their menu for dinner. For dessert, you don't have to decide, if you like you can order the sampler and try it all! I cannot say enough good things about this place, we've had wonderful experiences and attentive service every time we've gone. more

Family Style - Italian 8/15/2005

This is a great place to go with friends. The servings are gigantic and meant to feed 4 people. You can however order 1/2 servings for yourself but plan on taking some home with you. The atmosphere is casual to formal and as good for dates and birthdays as large family get-togethers. There is a full bar and lots of wine. The service has always been great and there is lots to choose from on the menu. I have tried most of it and have yet to find anything I didn't like. Be sure to skip lunch if you're going to eat here for dinner. Although reservations aren't required, I would suggest them. more

great ambiance 8/12/2005

One thing to keep in mind when ordering here is that a whole portion makes for a bigger bill than a half and waiters know bigger bill = bigger tip. I've seen waiters suggest a whole portion to first timers, implying that a "real man" should be able to handle it (in front of his date of course). This place is best for groups because it is family style portions, but if you do go on a date - a half portion is a large portion for one person. The food is good, though the pasta selections are fairly limited to tomato sauce and olive oil. I'd like to see Chicken Cacciatore added to the menu too. For family style Italian with nice atmosphere and a twist on the classics you should enjoy Fratelli. If you're just going for the family style food, I'd try Buca di Bepo. more

Great food 8/9/2005

I had never heard of this restaurant until a girlfriend recommended it and I am very thankful she did. This is a really great place that I can take my 2 1/2 year old to early enough in the evening or take my husband for a 'hot date' later. Fairly modern decorations with paintings from local artists on the wall. The wine list is fairly extensive and the can help you with pairing questions. The real star is the food. Superb! The portions are huge so you eat family style. My favorite meal is the Rigatoni with Vodka sauce which is just to die for! The food is extremely reasonably priced so we usually (okay, always) splurge for the 5 layered chocolate cake with rasberry sauce. I drool just thinking about it! Delish! more
