I hated lawyers, I hated the idea of ever needing one. But a work problem had just gotten out of hand and hadn't been handled correctly by the powers that be...which put me and my work in a compromised position. My company had a lawyer on retainer, but as he worked FOR my boss, and my problem involved my boss's knowledge of things going on, I needed my own counsel.
I was a basket case when I called Mr. Holmes. He helped me wade through the entire story over the phone and, miracle of miracles, kept me calm. We talked the first time for about 2 hours, and he helped me to see from a legal standpoint that what I had thought was a danger to me was actually not happening...it just appeared to be mishandled by me. We plotted a course of action for me to take, and he told me what to say to my boss should I be asked about it.
I am pleased to say I never actually needed to hire Mr. Holmes. The issue went away resolved in a matter of weeks, and I am now employed with another company in another state. I hadn't done any of the things I feared, and he helped me to see that.
I was never charged for his services, though I had 2 lengthy conversations with him over the phone and even a consultation in his office for over 45 minutes. He is a wonderful man and a very calming presence. I took a handful of his cards and have handed them out personally to everyone in the area I know, because you never know when you'll need a lawyer and he is phenomenal.
I wish I could give him better than a perfect rating.

I love the feel of this restaurant! It's almost caribbean/south american in decor and it's right off the water in downtown Newport, RI. It's difficult, for me anyway, to find Mexican food in this area...and sometimes nothing else will do. They have some great dishes with Carne Asada included, and I love that stuff.
Their desserts are good and gooey just as dessert should be. And without being too cliche for a mexican place (I hate when they have "dessert tacos" or fried ice cream, just don't like it).
This location must be seasonal, because other than summer I've never seen them appear open when I go by. They have french doors/windows that open directly onto the water, so in winter that would make keeping the customers warm quite difficult. Parking downtown can be a challenge, especially in season. But there are a few spots a bit down the road from this that aren't especially convenient to anything else that are sometimes open for the taking.

Cold Stone is a bit pricey, but it's a splurge and not an every day visit for us. They have sizes named "Like it", "love it", and "gotta have it". You can practically swim in the biggest size it's more than a pint of ice cream I think! They do offer pints and half gallons, once you get good at creating your signiture flavor, take one home and save yourself a few trips.
You will choose your flavor of ice cream and what toppings you want mixed in. Depending on size, a few may be included. You can choose from cakes, cookies, fruit, candy...pretty much the sky's the limit.
The location in Virginia Beach is great. They are always friendly and I've never seen the staff in a bad mood. There isn't convenient parking in this area, so you will be walking a bit when you visit. We lived a few blocks away so it was a nice walk in good weather.

We've used Sprint communications for 5 years now, and have found their cell phone reception to be well useful for our needs. The areas in our locality where calls are normally dropped are predictable, usually in the low places like hollows. But I've had two other carriers while living in that same area, and they all dropped calls in those areas as well.
Billing is usually the only problem. Many times, our payments will not be credited on time in their records, even though our bank shows the correct and ON TIME payment date. This usually results in a few volleyed phone calls back and forth for them to fix the late fee that we erroneously were levied with.
If their prices rise, their products fail, or they begin dropping more calls for no reason, we will probably search for a new cell phone carrier. Thus far, the billing problems are few and easily rectified, so we will continue using them.

Buying heating fuel these days isn't ever going to be fun or pleasant, but it is a necessary evil in the northeast. My landlord had used the same company for years when their prices got out of hand and he recommended we try Anchor Fuel. They have been so easy to work with. Twice this year we've had to call in an emergency order, once from another state during a vacation when we were informed that our heat was off. We are new to radiator heat, so they're patient with us when we don't get it refilled until it's already out.
Their prices are competitive for the area, and we have had them out on last minute notice both times we've used them. They arrive when they say they will and work quickly, you just send the payment along once you get the bill and you're all done.
We will continue using them as long as their prices remain competitive.

This has been my professional organization since I was an undergraduate student of Sports Medicine 10 years ago. They have evolved and changed, I think appropriately with the times and needs of their members.
Members receive both the Journal of Athletic Training and the NATA News if they wish, which will keep you up to date on new advances in athlete care and allow you to see the newer products on the market for your training room.
Lately, I have been having problems with them. Mostly clerical in nature, I have been repeatedly sent incorrect information and subsequently have had to defend myself against minor clerical/data records that should have been easily rectified. At this time, I have contacted them for further clarification on my current issue, and it has now been 5 days since that contact that they have made no effort to reach me. I am at this time considering not renewing my membership with them the next time it's up for renewal.

I felt very rushed, and the technician who I worked with (sorry can't remember her name) was not very attentive as to how she was putting on the hot wax. Considering this was a bikini wax that is a BIG deal. It wasn't a thorough job. I had to have it redone at another spa in about half the time I normally would.
The rest of the spa seemed noisy and too overrun with clients. They need a bigger hair salon space and more division. The walls are not thick enough in the treatment rooms to crowd out the noise from the hair salon. I think they could do more for their spa clients.

Beautiful stock they have here! I loved all the costume jewelry and just wish I had occasion to buy more of it. The associates were wonderfully helpful...they didn't have the item I was looking for (and I've discovered pretty much no one makes them anymore) but tried to help me piece together something that would work just as well. I bought a lovely pair of earrings instead which have held up well to a lot of use. They have more than just your average white rhinestone costume jewelry, and actually have many pieces in vibrant colors and styles that seem to me to be very unique if not original.
This is in a shopping center off of the main boulevard, right next to the library. Parking is easy, and entering and leaving the center is likewise a snap. The prices were fair for earrings and hair pieces, but I felt the necklaces and bracelets, not to mention brooches, were a bit overpriced.

Great fondue. Very basic fondue, but the cuts of meat and the sauces to dip in were excellent. There are two locations of this restaurant but Down the Hatch in Buckhead is by far the better. A good choice for a first date, at least you'll have something to do and something to talk about should conversation stall. Reservations will be necessary and parking can be a pain, but you're near everything else if you want to make a night of Atlanta.

I joined the American Massage Therapy Association while I was still in school studying to become a therapist. They have student rates, which are more than fair, and open you up to receiving the Massage Journal and also to resources on how to build and protect your career.
Their "Hands On" letters that come monthly are full of local information that you may need on upcoming events and happenings within the field in your area.
They also offer disability insurance through Marsh and Associates, which is a good touch. Also, your liability insurance premium is included in your membership fee every year so it's very nice to only have to think of one premium to pay a year.
They respond to questions and queries very quickly, and will help you in any way they can.
