The Georgian Terrace Hotel is one of the most historic hotels in downtown Atlanta. Once you step through the door, you notice the marble walls and columns, and you know you've stepped into luxury. The lighting fixtures make you feel like you've stepped into a luxury hotel from the turn of the century (not the last one, but the last last one). They've done a great job of maintaining the antique quality of the hotel, and there's plenty of history to be enjoyed there too as you read the information. If you've got the money to spend, this is the place to stay in Downtown Atlanta.

The ICH of Buckhead is a fun place to spend a weekend in town. The rooms are clean and well-furnished and the service is impeccable. I've sent out of town guests there and all have been pleased. There is a jazz band in the lobby bar at times which adds to the easy-going ambiance.

We found this jewel on the internet thanks to the Best of City Search. It was voted the best boutique hotel in Atlanta. We decided to check it out and we were more than pleased! The staff was remarkable (also voted best hotel Staff by City Search). It was very European and classical. There's a continental breakfast every morning and it was exceptional. The room was spacious and comfortable and most important clean. The hotel is close enough to walk to shopping, dining and offices. It is right next door to the rapid rail to take you anywhere in the city. We were overall very pleased!

overpriced for what it is
I recently stayed at the Ritz downtown. I was rather disappointed. The Ritz is very well known for basically kissing up to the guest. Well, it seemed as if they were having a bad day in the service industry. I can later than the rest of my party and they seemed to busy to help me with my things. Once someone in my party can to get me downstairs we went upstairs and waited on my items which we suppose to be delivered. After 30 minutes I step out into the hall to see if I saw my items and saw that a man was placing my items into someone elses room. My expericence just went downhill from there. I will probably not stay at the Ritz again.
