I saw the infomercial on television and was intruiged. I loved the idea of a foundation that had a natural spf 15 and wouldn't make me look 'masky' or feel heavy on my skin. However, I didn't try the stuff until I spotted their store in Lenox Mall. I walked in and they were very nice. They did a mini-makeover and I loved the results. It's not as polished looking to me as when I wear my liquid foundation but it is nice enough for daily wear and perfect for the hot Georgia summers.

If you're like most women and love to look and try different makeups, Sephora is calling you! This mecca for the make-up lover carries almost every cosmetic, fragrance and skin-care line you can imagine. They have every price range from the cheap to crazy expensive and the sales people are usually knowledgeable enough to tell you what is good and what isn't. They are very generous with their samples as well.

I have a Red lobster right down the street from my house and am constantly amazed that the restaurant is packed with people. I do agree that their chedder bay biscuits are out of this world good but not worth an hour wait on a weeknight. The rest of the food is only so-so in my opinion. The fresh lobster is okay but nothing I couldn't do at home for cheaper. The steak I have gotten there has been very hit or miss. I'd rather fork over a little more money and go somewhere great than settle.

Peachtree Dekalb Airport may have it's problems (allegedly allowing planes land that are too big for the airport) but entertaining children is not one of them. It used to be great because you could take your kids to see the small planes take off and land but THEN they went and made it great by building a really nice play area and viewing seats. The little park includes picnic tables, swings and slides with climbing areas. It's very fun. The only downside is the inevitable noise. If your child is sensitive to that sort of thing, beware.

Atlanta has a lot of malls and I have been to most of them. I, personally, think Perimeter is one of the best ones out there. Phipps is the fanciest but it's best for window shopping. Lenox is my favorite overall but Perimeter is a really solid second. They have your staples like Macy's, Bloomingdales, and Nordies but they also have tons of smaller stores that round out your shopping experience. They have a Gap kids and Gymboree for the little ones. They also have a Brooks Brothers, Banana Republic, Sephora, Coach and a ton more for the adults. It's clean and nicely located for those who live outside the perimeter.

Dominicks is a wonderful little Italian restaurant in old Roswell square. They serve very authentic Italian food that is miles above your Olive Garden's of the world but the price is very comparable. The serving sizes are HUGE so you can definitely share if you don't want yummy leftovers for lunch the next day. I highly recommend their garlic bread but make sure your date/lover has it as well because it is chocked full of garlic. Even Altoids are useless! I have never tried the desserts because i'm always stuffed.

I fell for Mellow Mushroom pizza while in college at UGA and was thrilled to find one down the street when I moved to Atlanta. The pizza is much better than your national delivery places and the ambiance is just really fun. They have TONS of different varieties of beer to choose from, wine, sandwiches, and many varieties of pizza. I also recommend the pretzels which are made from the pizza dough and come with marinara sauce. Good for picky kids who will just end up eating the crust anyway.

This restaurant is located in the lobby of the Twelve hotel (shocking, I know) at the new Atlantic Station. The hotel offers free valet parking for a limited number of hours (long enough to have a leisurely dinner) for non-hotel guests who want to eat at the restaurant. It is owned by the same group that does One Midtown Kitchen and Two Urban Licks and continues on the same high quality food and atmosphere that you will find at those restaurants. The pizza appetizers are very large and delicious and the desserts are to die for. I recommend the gooey toffee cake.

You can buy anything from linens, kitchenware, toys, garden furniture, etc. The bonus about Tuesday Morning is that they carry some very nice brands at great prices. The bad thing is that you never know what they'll have or how long it will last. That's how they make sure you come back over and over!

I went to Ulta to buy some Murad skin care because they had a coupon in the paper and were having a special where you received a discount on future purchases. I was assured by the sales girl that the coupons would work on future Murad purchases and bought my products. However, when I went to use the coupons, I was told the Murad was a 'prestige cosmetic' which was excluded. I explained that Murad was not a cosmetic but was skin care which is a separate category. They refused. I was so angry I have refused to shop there again.
