Those who want a unique experience (ie, not one designed by Stephen Starr) or a cheap night out should consider one of Philly's finest dive bars - Bob & Barbara's. The special (every night, all the time) is what it is most famous for - three bucks gets you a can of PBR and a shot of PBR (which means ten bucks gets you an intimate encounter with the floor). It's also famous for the Thursday drag shows which bring some of Philly's best drag queens out which costs a small cover but goes towards your first drunk. The clientele range from the strange to the young professional and everywhere in between. It also has several pingpong tables (with rather long signup waitlists usually) for bar entertainment which is, I believe, free. I often start the night at other places and end up at Bob & Barbara's - it's like a trip to your wild college friend's apartment, the one who decorated with beer cans. And it's a warm environment, the Cheers for the drunk, rowdy, and drag queen-y set.
