Other places to go... 8/1/2008

If you're looking for other places in the area:\r \r Bus Stop and Blue Light on Union St. are obvious choices. Kelley's Tavern on Fillmore and Lombard just added a bunch more TVs. They will have college and NFL packages and won't be as packed as those two. Monoghan's off Chestnut has sports packages too. more

I have never had such a horrible experience at a SPORTS BAR in my life. 3/31/2007

Seriously. There aren't many ways to make me write a bad review, and this is the first time I EVER have, but I had such a disappointing experience at Bayside, I just felt the need to warn others: I will NEVER go back. There are tons of awesome sports bars in the city and this one is BAD! Terrible crowd. Drinks took way too long. Food should be skipped all together. Dont know who Bayside thinks they are, but I had an awful time with the staff - there was a line at the door, and they wouldnt let people in! People were in line for like 30 minutes! It's a SPORTS BAR not a freaking Dance Club! Dont waste your time here. Manager wasn't even responsive or helpful in any way. I was very disappointed...Marina lets me down. Once again... more

Best Sports Bar 9/25/2006

Bayside is the best place to watch football, great atmosphere. There are some many TV's that most games get coverage and TV's are organized well with what game will be on each, makes it easy to pick the right place to watch. The bar does fill up so get there early to get a seat. Food is good, get a burger or most of the appetizers. Many beers on tap and the $2 happy hours are a good place to start your night. Pros: Sports, Atmosphere, TV's Cons: Parking more

reality check 6/3/2006

Don't waste your money. The food is alright but the customer service is a complete joke. There are so many better places in the city to enjoy. Get out and explore the city and I promise you will not have to search long to find a place that is actually unique and not so trite. I am amazed that this restaurant is ranked as high as it is on CitySearch. Pros: location Cons: customer service, attitudes, TV postions are low more

No one else comes close! 2/12/2006

This place is hands down the best Sports Bar in town. Great food, tons of TV's, and a friendly staff. They also have one of the best dart set-ups in the city. Pros: Food, Drink Specials, TV's Cons: Are there any? more

Used to be great.... What happened? 10/7/2005

This place used to be the place to go for College FB on Saturdays. The line used to be out the door and all the good games were always on good TV's. This year everything has changed. Service is horrible! Good games are on small tv's, even when ppl call ahead that week to request a BIG game. After trying to give it a chance for the last 6 weeks, I have officially given up on this place! Sad to see a place that I used to be at EVERY saturday for the past 4 college football seasons go down the way it did My recommendation... Stay AWAY!!! more

The staff think they're better than you. 9/14/2005

Typical marina establishment: The service sucks, the food sucks, and you spend way too much money. The waitresses are super rude, as well as the owner, and barstaff. Somehow I'm amazed that all the restaurants I've ever reviewed negatively still maintain a 9 or above rating here at CitySearch. I bet this will be deleted because it's not positive. Pros: uhmm, none, here Cons: rude, did I mention rude?, oh, yeah, rude! more

Now this is a Burger ! 6/16/2005

If you'd like a tasty, juicy Burger. It is the Best Burger In San Francisco. Want it with your favorite additions such as bacon, cheese, bbq sauce, mushrooms.... Your wish..... This is the place to satisfy your hunger in many ways. You will return ! more

Football Heaven 1/25/2005

I was just at Bayside for the Conference Championship weekend and it was one of the best football experiences I've had. They had so many T.V.'s showing the games and there were tons of both Eagles and Patriots fans. I will definitely be back for the Super Bowl. Pros: TV's, Food more

Bar Food 6/16/2003

Bayside has a decent bar food menu. The items are pretty typical and do not stand out from other bars in the area. The hamburgers and wraps are tasty, but a little pricey for what you get. We went in when there was a very light crowd, and the service was pretty slow. Our server rarely came by and missed a opportunity to sell us round two. I will definitely try this place during football season as it has a nice sports bar and TV layout. more

Too Marina for Football! 9/22/2002

This place is for seeing of being seen rather than routing for your favorite team. Best luck elsewhere. Pros: large Cons: bad food, few televisions, Yuppie haven more

uncrowded sports bar 9/10/2002

A great place on union street with $2 happy hour drafts, a bunch of tvs loaded with sports, a pool table, golden tee, great jukebox and attractive workers. Never too crowded, either, even on sundays where the service was great, prompt and friendly. Great place to go............. Pros: golden tee, happy hour, big & uncrowded Cons: parking can be hard, crowded on sundays more

Best Sports Bar in SF 9/10/2002

There's a reason why Bayside was voted by the people as the best in the area. They have tons of TVs so every game is covered, the staff is friendly and attentive, the menu and drink selection are top notch and it's always guaranteed to be a fun time. If you can't actually make it to the game, Bayside is the next best option by far. It can get crowded during football season but isn't that what sports bars are supposed to be like? more

ABSOLUTEY HORRIFIC 9/6/2002

THIS PLACE USED TO BE A FUN PLACE TO GO TO. UNFORTUNATELY, SERVICE IS ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE DURING ANY BUSY TIME, ESPECIALLY DURING A FOOTBALL GAME. IF YOU EXPECT SERVICE, DON'T. THEY ONLY STAFF THE PLACE WITH 3-4 SERVERS TO HANDLE 125 PLUS PEOPLE. WE ARE NEVER GOING BACK. more

Whenever business dicates or I'm looking for fun, Bayside beckons. Get clientele, super sports, service impecable (just ask for a blonde named Jessica). Hands off but she is fun and great looking. This Sports Bar deserves to come out #1! more

The Place to Be... 7/29/2002

No one in the City has created a better environment with better fans than Bayside- The food is great, always consistent (not like typical, crappy bar food), the staff is friendly and full of life, and the TV viewing is by far and away, the best- Keep it up! more

Can't be at the game? Go to Bayside! 7/26/2002

If you are a sports fan, Bayside is the place! ""The 'Side"" is a great venue to catch both college and pro events. There's nothing like watching your game of choice (Cal v. Stanford) and bumping into folks from the UNC, Michigan, Texas, ""you fill in the blank"" crowds.....cheering on their own. Makes for a great time and a lot of fun. Don't forget the pro outings as well - The Kings v. Lakers series was a blast. The World Cup games were also fun - love the 1 AM start times! If I can't be at the game in person, Bayside is the logical next choice. Pros: Fun crowd, Great staff, Reasonable Prices more
