I wonder who Balcones Heights Police Department has designated as Chief Abuser/Assaulter since Lee Powers is no longer employed by the city to abuse & assault? Did you hire somebody in special? How long was Powers training him? Is he as good as Powers? Had a friend of mine take a job in SAT. When searching for an apartment, her first question was ""Is this complex in Balcones Heights jurisdiction?"" She knows what happened to Aimee Cooley. This man ( Troy Lee Powers) abused my wife while I was sent outside under guard so I could not hear the abuse that was happening. He is a women abuser to my wife and we were there to greive my wifes only daughter and help her grandaughters. understand that their mothers investigation would not be truthfull in any way, shape, or form. My daughter Melissa Moreno was stuck out in the ice this past time on ih10 and West Avenue and your supervisor Mr. Prinz was a great help to my daughter. He made her feel loved and cared for and my daughter doesn't know how to pay him back. She said that he was her hero and that she can't get over how nuch he helped her, he not only got her car back, but he paid the wrecker service for my traumatized daughter. She is forever endebited to him and so am I. If if wasn't for him I would no longer have my daughter here with me. My daughter Aimee Cooley was murdered in Balcones Heights. The police were--@ first--just arrogant. Then dismissive. That people skill quickly became brutality & violence. The 'man' in charge of my daughter's death was Troy Powers. Wherever this guy is--he's dangerous. Not only was he violent with me--he became sexual with my sister-in-law when he was alone with her-in front of my very traumatized 7 year old twin grand-daughters just hours after they had found their mother beaten & dead. He was fondeling his own chest while talking about his step-daughters very large breasts. My sister -in-law was struck dumb--shocked. As soon as my brother entered the room, the behavior ceased. As you read this, you're probably thinking--""No. No way. Not a cop. Too brazen. Too audicious."" Well, incredible as it sounds, it is true. Sgt. Joyce Pena was in charge of the 'investigation' ordered by the Mayor. My family appeared in front of a city council meeting & after we told this horrid tale (there is MUCH MORE!!!) to Joyce Pena, the paperwork went to the DA's office where it was just muffled away by the system. Mr. Powers was never on video so it was our word against his. Also--several other Balcones police have been caught, charged, & convicted of rape while on the job. FEAR YOUR POLICE!!! more

I've livedin balcones for over 16 years and I've always felt secure in our neighborhood thanks to the balcones hts. p.d. I would like to express my app;reciation for all you officers do to protect us. My car was broken into at 3a.m and they quickly responded and captured the two gentlemen and they recovered my belongings. I don't remember their names but they were so professional and helped us so much I can't say thankyou enough. Then theres Joey with the K-9 unit. What an awesome policeman we have here. He's really the best and his help last week was so professional and beyond helpful I just hope he gets the recognition he deserves.
