Worst

Was an approved state farm body shop and close to dwntwn. Unfortunately they screwed up more on my car than they fixed. Had it for over 2 months waiting on a part, way past my all...

Ryan, Stan, and the guys are amazing. I've unfortunately been in 2 accidents in the past year, but brought my car both times to ABW. Their quote was less than the dealer (of course), and they kept me informed the entire time. Recently, my window broke its track and ABW was able to fix it for me as I stopped in. They really care and they are really down to earth guys. I can't say enough good things. I never want anyone to get into an accident, but if you do, give them your business. You won't regret it! more

A bicyclist ran into my car and shattered my window, made a big dent on my door, scraped my front panel and bumper. I also had another dent on the other side of my car from last year. Stan was really nice and definitely gave me a good deal. Body shops usually rip you off, but Stan was very honest and treated you as if he was your best friend! I DEFINITELY recommend this place and assure that you'll be happy like I am now! :D more

As good as the reviews! 3/13/2009

I thought the reviews were too good to be true, but Austin Body Works lived up to its reputation. I was involved in a minor fender bender, called Austin Body Works, and they said that they would look at it right away. They took a quick look, confirmed that there was no structural damage, buffed up a few scratches, and sent me on my way within a few minutes, without charging me a cent! I'd highly recommend them!! Amazing work at amazingly affordable prices! 12/3/2008

I had minor bumper damage and took my car to another repair shop before coming to Austin Body Works to get an estimate. The other shop gave me a $1,000 estimate and wanted to replace multiple parts. Austin Body Works shined and buffed most of the scuffs out for free while I waited! I will never take my car anywhere else. Highly recommended! Pros: Price, Friendliness of employees, Honesty (don't try to rip you off), Speed of service Cons: None! more

Best Experience July 2008 7/2/2008

I took my Mazda Miata to Austin body Works on 6/30/08. Not only did they beat the Mazda Dealership's estimate by $400 (Roger Beasley wanted $850), they have the best customer service. Ryan in the front office is top notch. When I got my car back, they had washed and vacuumed my car. Pros: Best Customer Service in town, great prices Cons: None more

Best place in towh to get your vehicle repaired 3/23/2008

I have taken my car here twice and they have done awesome work. They are very friendly and helpful. They definitely are up front about what it will cost. Both times their estimates have been right on the dollar with their actual costs. These guys do great work! I highly recommend them! more

Best Body Shop in Austin Hands Down. 2/5/2008

I needed to repair the trunk lid of my car, and every estimate I got from body shops was close to $1300 to find a trunk lid, paint it to match my car, and install. The guys at Austin Body Works took the time to search for a trunk lid that already matched the color of my car. They ended up finding one, attaching it, and buffing it to get the shade to match perfectly for - get this - $160. In other words, I saved over $1100 by going to them. They are some of the nicest, most genuine and honest people I've met. Please go there! They deserve as much business as they can handle! more

I love Austin Body Works. My first experience with their business was as a college student - After a fender bender my Dad recommended that I take my car to at least 3 repair shops before having it fixed. Austin Body Works? estimate was half that of the other two. That was over 2 years ago and I never hesitate to take it by if I think there?s an issue with my car. Stan is genuine and helpful, and won?t suggest any repairs that aren?t necessary. It seems that when looking for a repair place, everyone tells you they?ve, ?got a guy? implying the service price will be reduced because you know someone. At this business you don?t have to ?know a guy? - they?re fair and honest with everyone. Pros: Great customer service, honest staff more

O.k. - I'm not any kind of expert on cars or body work, so when I need to use a repair shop, I never know what to expect. I have dealt with Austin Body Works 3 times now, and I always get 100% honest, dependable quality service. Yesterday, I scraped the side of my car on a dumpster. Today, Franco buffed all the scratches out of the paint and touched it up - the car looks brand new. These guys are organized, the shop is clean, you can always reach them on the phone, they always know what's going on with your claim and your repairs - basically, this is a well-run, honest, reliable body shop that does quality work. I recommend them to my friends every chance I get. Pros: Super-friendly, convenient, honest, quality work Cons: Sometimes they're booked solid, but its worth waiting! more

If you need body work done to one of you vehicles, this is the place to bring you car/truck! The team at Austin Body Works care about their customers. This will be the 4th time that I use Austin Body Works to repair my car & through my 4 car wrecks I wouldn't want to take my car to anyone else. Worse than when they started. Terrible 6/19/2007

Was an approved state farm body shop and close to dwntwn. Unfortunately they screwed up more on my car than they fixed. Had it for over 2 months waiting on a part, way past my allowed rental time. Painted the part the wrong color once they got it. Scratched my clear coat in two different places applying factory decals. Left glue residue all over car. Back window still leaks even after they piled on an exorbinant amount of calking around it (there idea of trying to fix a leak) Applied decals offcenter. SFarm inspector said the job was the worse he had seen and pointed out numerous other paint inperfections all over the car. State Farm even allowed the job to be finished at another shop the effort was so bad. You know for the crooks at an insurance co to admit their vendor was not acceptable was no small feat. Pros: approved vendor Cons: terrible service more

Great Staff and Service 9/24/2006

The staff and the customer service they give you at Austin Body Works is phenomenal. They are truly interested in getting your car fixed in a timely manner and doing quality work. I've taken all my cars there over the years and have always been impressed with their workmanship. Highly recommended. more
