Good Service 11/21/2011

I called this company to schedule an appointment for AC repair service last Friday, November. 18. The person on the phone told me that he couldn't get a technician over before Monday, November 21. When I asked as to what time I might expect the technician to show up, he told me that the technician had two service calls at hotels in the morning before me, so his best estimate would be sometime in the afternoon & said the technician would call me when he was on his way. The technician called me at 1205, arrived @ 1215. He put a temporary know on my unit & said he'd swing back by tomorrow to bring the correct size know for the unit. He was very polite. Didn't want me to pay him anything until he came back tomorrow with the knob. I don't know what these other people are complaining about. I think some people just like to make things up to ruin a business's reputation. That's sad, because it hurts the business and steers potential customers away & possibly toward a company that isn't any good. I will definitely use this company again. more

I should have read these reviews before making an appointment with this company. It seems they have a reputation of NOT showing up. My appt was scheduled between 8am -12pm. I called them a little before 12pm, since they had not shown up yet. I spoke with their ""receptionist"" who first of all, answered the phone by putting me on hold and yelling out to someone else while I'm still on the phone. Hasn't she ever heard of the hold ""button""? Then she begins speaking again but I have no idea if she's speaking to me or not. I then asked if she was speaking to me. She rudely replied yes. I asked her if she would please confirm what time a technician would be showing up for my 8-12 appointment. She asked a few questions and then rudely states that she doesn't know what happened to the paperwork and that they didn't have me down. With no consideration what-so-ever, she asked if she could reschedule me. I explained that we had to make special arrangements at the house to have someone there for the appointment and that they've been waiting since 8am. She simply did not care! We went back and forth until I realized I had wasted enough time on these people. I explained that I did not want to continue doing business with this company and advised that we would be looking a different company for repairs. I hung up and found and called Mr. Appliance of SA #493-4447. I explained the dire need of services. The gal I spoke with was so helpful and very empathetic and needless to say we scheduled an appt right then and there. PLEASE, do yourself a favor, especially after reading the other reviews, DO NOT waste your time on calling Alamo Service!!!!!!!! more

Had an appointment for Wed.am - at 4:45 was told the tech was ""sitting in traffic on the way to my house""...asked about it being almost quitting time and was told it didn't matter - they would be there in the next two hours. WORST COMPANY IN HISTORY!!! 6/23/2009

Please don't ever use this company. I really have never dealt with such an incompetent business. Just a painful experience. I had them (attempt to) fix my refrigerator and oven on separate occasions. Each appliance broke again weeks later. Also, they are completely incapable of correctly scheduling an appointment, holding an appointment, or correctly communicating in any way with their customers. They missed scheduled 3 appointments and didn't show up for two others. And of course, I always had to track them down. They are just terrible. Terrible Customer Service and Organization 4/28/2008

They have absolutely horrible customer service. They were more interested in getting out of the office for Fiesta events than taking my appointment. And, on the day of the appointment, I called that morning to confirm. Everything was fine. Later that afternoon after my wife left work, they had no record of coming to our home. Does not show up for appointments 3/6/2008

I have used Alamo Service since 1996 and in the past 3 years their service has been awful. I have been trying to get my dacor range fixed since January and here we are March 6th and it is still not fixed. The reson for this is the techs no show,they tell dispatch they are on their way and then never show up at the home. This has happpened at least 5 times since January. Cons: they do not show up more
