I've recently moved here from out of state and I am blown away by the level of service and warmth of the staff at DDC! I can honestly say that it is a pleasure to come in as a patient. I felt so comfortable there that I scheduled proceedures that I've been putting off for years with my old dentist! more

I chose this dentist office for my last cleaning based on all of the positive reviews written here. My experience with the staff at Downtown Dental Care made me feel like I should contribute more positive feedback. My first visit was a cleaning, x-rays and exam. Lisa my hygienest did a wonderful job and she was fun to visit with. Lisa is clearly passionate about the dental health of her patients. Additionally, I was given attention by both of the dentists and they gave me great feedback on preventative oral health and pointed out some necessary work that I should have done to ensure my teeth and gums continue to stay healthy. On my second visit I received porcelain onlays from Kelly and Dr. Bailey. The necessary work from this procedure can be time consuming, but Kelly and Dr. Bailey helped me have a comfortable experience; along with having a t.v. in the room everything went well. Like Lisa, Dr. Bailey and Kelly were both wonderful and caring. They did a great job with the onlay. I have to get the same procedure done to replace old fillings on the other side of my mouth soon and I am actually looking forward to seeing the friendly staff there again. Highly recommended! I went here after reading the reviews on Citysearch, and I wasn't let down! I went in to a relaxing, calm waiting room and was greeted politely. When I went in for my exam, they made sure that I was okay with every little thing they did, because I expressed concerned that my last dentist didn't do the same. Before I left, we sat down and talked about how much I would be paying before I get any other services - insurance and out of pocket. They're very helpful in terms of insurance issues you may have. The views from your chair are awesome, and the dental assistant was really fun! Dr. Bailey was incredibly friendly and funny. Can't say I've ever had fun at the dentist, before! Dr. Bailey was referred to me by a friend and I was not disappointed. The staff are all very friendly. I left with clean teeth, a new profile, a future plan of action, cost estimates (both insurance and out-of-pocket), and a free bottle of water (frappacinos were also available). I was seen by Dr. Bailey, who was very personable and made me feel quite comfortable but I also met the partner dentist, who also seemed personable and easy going. Before moving to Portland last fall, I had been with the same dentist for over 20 years so I was nervous seeing a new one but I am no longer nervous. I hadn't been to a dentist in at least six years and so it was with more than a little trepidation that I arranged my initial appointment, to have a sore tooth looked at. The staff seemed to know that I was nervous and, while efficient, did not rush me at all and provided me with information about each and every step of my exam and cleaning. My hygienist was knowledgeable and compassionate, and my dentist really seemed to ""tune in"" to my concerns. The office itself was beautiful, especially my exam room, with a wonderful view of the cityscape from up high. Definitely a far cry from the dentist office of my youth! I will be returning this week to have a couple of small cavities filled, and will be much less nervous when I walk in the door this time. Pros: customer service, informative, understanding more

This was the first change in Dental Clinics in over 15 years. It is MOST difficult to replace ones dentist and hygienist and Downtown Dental Care was a LUCKY find and one that gave me an extremely professional experience and once that built confidence in the services offered. The convenience/location was excellent, there was no waiting and the environment was extremely clean and well maintained. My records were transferred from my previous dentist without problems. The Dentist was very thorough and the Hygienist very up to date on the latest cleaning techniques and care of teeth. I HIGHLY recommend this clinic to anyone who wants exceptional, professional care. After undergoing several months of very traumatic experiences regarding the removal of an old crown, (with no resolution to the problem), I decided to go elsewhere, and discovered Downtown Dental Care just a few blocks from my Condo. Wow! What a difference a few blocks make. Everything about this office is first class, and everyone is extremely professional, yet also extremely friendly. Dana, my new hygienist was super: welcoming, interested in me and my history, (dental and otherwise), and quite thorough in her evaluation of my teeth and their current status. I have always based a good dental office on the level of expertise that the hygienist(s) display, and without question, I found nirvana. I still have to meet Dr. Bailey, but Dr. Bateman was on hand and proved to be everything I hoped for in a dentist, certainly reflecting on the level of Dr. Bailey's reputation. I recommend this office highly, and actually look forward to my next visit. Pros: A really pleasant, welcoming, and efficient staff. Cons: Absolutely none!! more

I have always been a very anxious dental patient. Dr. Bailey and his staff always go out of there way to make me feel at ease. Dr. Lance Bailey and his staff have the most wonderful bedside manner! I've been a patient here for many, many years. I've had cleanings, fillings, root canals, crowns...all have been performed professionally by Dr. Bailey and his staff. I actually look forward to the cleanings! The office is in a great location downtown, they always have the latest and greatest tools and technology, and professional development for the staff. They send you out the door with a bottle of water and Starbucks coffee, and a smile. I'd never think of going anywhere else. more

Ever since visiting Downtown Dental Care, my fiancee and I haven't wanted to go anywhere else. It's easily the nicest dentist office either of us have ever seen. The equipment is all state of the art, advanced technology, the staff is extremely friendly, gracious with their time, and completely professional, and the little details like a massaging chair and television in the cleaning room and free bottled water and Starbucks coffee in the waiting room make a visit to the dentist's something to look forward to rather than dread. I recently went in for a check-up because I hadn't been to the dentist in a while. I had a very thorough check-up, through which they explained all of the work I needed to have done. I was pretty scared. I hate the dentist. I have sensitive teeth. And I'm a student so I was afraid of the cost. Also, I do quite a bit of traveling...and I was in a time crunch. The office worked out a payment plan for me, was super attentive and sensitive to my fears and sensitive teeth. I had a wonderful experience and that's tough to say when in one day I had a root canal, 4 wisdom teeth removed, and 4 crowns put in. Like I said they were flexible with my travel schedule, my hectic law school schedule, and my intense fear of dentists. I wholeheartedly recommend them. I have a profound fear of going to the dentist and this office has just been wonderful. My hygenist, Leslie, was thorough, gentle and understanding.
