Whenever I consider getting pierced (or un-pierced), I *always* go to Straight to the Point. No question. They are so clean you could eat off the floor, the people are always friendly and engaging, they carry the most *kick ass*/rare/beautiful jewelry, and piercing is their art, not a source of income secondary to tattoos or selling hookahs. And whenever I go to STTP, I make sure to get Nick. Nick is, in addition to being a top of the line piercing artist, so cool. I've been getting pierced by Nick for over 3 years now, and every experience has been wonderful. The first piercing he did for me was this totally unique ear project: a 3-hole orbital with an industrial dissecting it, pierced through a fourth hole. I loved it loved it loved it. It was something that has never been done before (to anyone's knowledge) and Nick said that he wouldn't recreate again, as it was ""my piercing"". This blew me out of the water. His integrity as an artist in this instance sealed my loyalty to him as a customer. \r
Yesterday, I went in to get my lobes pierced. I'm 21, and had never had them done. I have to admit, I called around a little to other shops asking about pricing, etc, but was met with pretentious scoffs. Piercing lobes isn't the most interesting thing that a piercer could be doing, but it is still body adornment, and I'd rather not go to the disgustingly unsanitary conditions of Claire's to get pierced. But, at STTP, even though their artists are capable of doing all sorts of crazy sh*t, Nick was totally sweet and more than happy just to pierce my lobes. \r
All in all, this place is top of the line. They have a great new store that has the most gorgeous and exotic jewelry I've even seen, and it's definitely worth a trip out there. And lastly: Nick is the best.
Pros: Environment, artistry, friendliness, cleanliness, beautiful selection, the list goes on...
Cons: parking dowtown can be tough, so ride your bike!
