I'd heard of straight to the point and went in with high expectations. I had to have a titanium labret special ordered (around 50$), and when I did I was told 2-4 weeks for delive...

Rude staff. 7/29/2007

I love STTP, always felt comfortable the few times I have been there except for the last trip a few Fridays ago. I came into get my Tygon trimmed and to possibly order jewelry. The counter girl/apprentice? (said her shirt) was so incredibly rude however, did not acknowledge me, was sarcastic, and seemed like she had better things to do than help customers. I will of course be back but will never be pierced by her and was disappointed that STTP would hire someone with such attitude. Pros: The current piercers are amazing, professional, and very attentive. Cons: More approachable employees without the attitude. more

Awesome find! 7/19/2007

I went to STTP for the first time this afternoon, to get my earlobe stretched from 16g to 12g. The building is clean and open, and they have a good selection of jewelry. The counter person was informative and commiserative, which was good for me since I get all worried before things like this. The piercer, Nick, was extremely friendly and professional - he told me what he was doing before he did it, he sterilised everything and must have used three different pairs of rubber gloves, he didn't rush me even a little bit a bit, and he even brought over a fan when I started getting faint. Best part being, he didn't make me feel embarrassed or anything for feeling faint.\r \r They both told me how to take care of my newly stretched piercing, they were both friendly and efficient without making me feel rushed at all, and were I any less of a wuss about pain, I'd absolutely go back in a heartbeat. I highly recommend this piercing place. Pros: Cleanliness, profressionalism, friendliness, care. Cons: The store front is a bit hard to see when walking by; might recommend putting a photo up here. more

STTP 7/16/2007

I just got a new piercing, my Monroe, at the newest STTP location, Tanasbourne. I was like..this second customer there. Heh. Anyway, I thought that they were great, they made me feel really comfortable. I was sort of nervous since it was my first facial piercing, and they really were fantastic. The shop looks great, great selection, reasonable prices, the whole deal. I was pleased with the sterile techniques. All in all, if you want to get a piercing STTP is great. The new shop is really fabulous if you are in the Hillsboro area.\r \r -Lacy. Pros: Clean, convenient, great staff. more

Amazing overall 7/15/2007

Straight to the point is the only piercing place i trust. They're not trying to get your money, they compassionately care about you as a person and want what is really best for you. They are very clear on instructions and offer tips gracefully. It is very very clean and trustworthy in the buildings and it's a safe atmosphere. Straight to the point is a place i reccommend to all of my friends and they love it too. more

very impressed... 7/5/2007

Ok so i've never set foot in a piercing shop of any sort until this 4th of July. I happen to drive by STTP and knew i wanted a nostril piercing so my husband and i checked it out. I knew the second i walked in that this was the place to have it done. This shop is cleaner than some portland restaurants i've been in and as sterile as a hospital, which is reassuring. I ended up with George as my piercer and he was very professional and so incredibly nice. I was nervous, and he made it quick, easy and painless. Here i am one day later and people can't believe i just had it done yesterday. I have no pain and i love the piercing. Thank you to George and STTP for making my first 'body' piercing and enjoyable experience. I myself probably won't have anymore piercings but i will definitely reccomend this shop to anyone who does. Thanks so much!! : more

The Best 7/1/2007

If you are looking for a clean, professional and friendly place to get pierced, this is the place you want to go!\r \r I had been wanting a dermal anchor piercing on my chest for a few months and finally gave them a call. The woman who answered the phone obviously had excellent experience, because she was able to answer all my questions before I even asked at put my mind totally at ease.\r \r I had the option of making an appointment or just walking in. I walked into thier Troudale location. Very nice comfortable clean atmosphere. I felt very comfortable. There was so many diffrent jewlery options to choose from. They have some really gorgeous stuff. You can also order custom jewelry as well.\r \r So I walked in, filled out the paperwork, picked my jewelry and hopped in the chair. I was in and out of there in about 20 minutes. Probably would have been even sooner if I hadn't been admiring all the jewels =)\r \r They provided me with aftercare instructions and a cleaning solution and sent me on my way. I will be getting two more dermal anchors and these guys are going to be the people who do it!! \r \r Thank you for taking such good care of me STTP!!!\r -mievil Pros: Very clean, organized and comfortable. Cons: I honestly can't think of one=) more

My favorite piercers! 6/2/2007

A couple months ago I decided to get some more piercings in my ear and was recommended to Straight to the Point. After I went there I may never go to anyone else again! The facility was uncluttered, clean, and extremely professional. You could tell they knew what they were doing just by the set up alone. The staff was so friendly and personable I felt comfortable even with the prospect of having several needles stuck through my ears. My piercer (Tricia!) was very capable and told me ""I'll tell you when I'm going to put the needle in, I don't like surprising my customers!"" I definitely appreciated that. Also, several weeks after I had the work done I got a thank you card in the mail from them with a brief note written by them! I thought it was a brilliant touch and something that has helped win me to their establishment :) Pros: Reasonable prices, great staffing, CLEAN facility. Cons: If you're driving you have to battle downtown traffic and parking, but that's really about it. more

They fixed me up! 5/15/2007

I initially went to Black hole to get pierced and they totally messed up my piercing. When I went to STTP they were so nice and helped my piercing back to normal. I will never go anywhere else for piercings. Thank you for all your help! Pros: Very sanitary, awesome service more

Best piercing shop ever! Fun experience! Great employees! 4/18/2007

I loved Straight to the Point and will never go anywhere else for the rest of my life. The shop is so cutely decorated! You'll see what I mean when you walk in through the doors. Relax in the pierced chair. :) The employees are so nice, and they answer every ridiculous and nervous person's questions. The shop is completely sanitary. (I wrote a report on the sanitation of piercings shops for an English paper in college and every single standard was fulfilled to perfection at this shop.) This just makes for a great downtown experience! What better way to just go have fun, shop, and get that piercing you've always wanted! They have a wide variety of jewelry for an affordable price. They can pierce anything! I would recommend Straight to the Point to everyone! It's been great for me! Pros: The shop is just so awesome! Check it out! more

Best piercing shop in town! 4/16/2007

Hands down the best 3/25/2007

Straight to the point goes above and beyond every piercing studio I have ever been to. From the professional and personalized service, to the continuing follow up care. You can tell they have your best interest in mind. The environment is friendly, classy, and most importantly CLEAN. Everything is sterile, from the front counter to the piercing room. The jewelry selection is phenomenal, and you can also custom order anything you can think of. They know exactly what they are doing!!!! Pros: everything! more

Wouldn't go anywhere else 3/23/2007

I just went to Straight To The Point on Monday night to get my surface peircing. I ended up having some problems with parking and got there pretty late, but my peircer was still really patient with me. When I told her what I wanted to do, Emily told me a bit more about the peircing and the tygon that they use. She was really helpful and made things really easy. Actually she made me feel so comfortable I got a second peircing before I left. I'd recommend STTP to anyone for any kind of peircing. Even if the prices are a little bit more, they still give you aftercare and follow ups. I look forward to getting another peircing from Emily soon! Pros: Basically everything! Cons: Parking more

best piercing experiance ever! 3/21/2007

The staff! oh my god what a wonderful staff! these guys really know there stuff. on top of everything they have the best jewelry selection I've ever seen and what they don't have they can get or make it. I never knew body piercing could be so great. I always felt like it was a gambel but with them I know I'm getting exsactly what I pay for, clean and safe! Pros: everything! more

Good shop, Too expensive. 3/19/2007

Don't get me wrong, Straight to the Point does some great work.. but they charge far too much\r \r Now, I know a good shop is expensive, I'm not the type to go for the $2 externally threaded korean jewelery or anything like that, but this place is rediculous. Very friendly staff, very comfortable environment, though the staff should be standardly trained more (I got different aftercare instructions from 3 different employees.)\r \r Now, for the price.. I got charged $10 just for a jewelry change (A service that is generally free, with purchase of jewelry) with a Kaos eyelet, that they charged $20 for! $20! Unfortunately this was the first piece I bought from them, so I didn't know how wildly they had jacked up the price.\r \r For an example: a 0 gauge Kaos eyelet, from the website (The RETAIL price) is $6. with standard markup, that probably means that the wholesale price (The one any piercing shop will be getting) would be probably 3, maybe 4 dollars. And, on further inspection, every other shop I've bought that particular type of jewelry from was 8-15 dollars (15 for a 7/16"" piece).\r \r So, in surmation, I suppose if you have a lot of extra money to spend, go to Straight to the Point. It is a good shop, they are very professional and conveniently located downtown, but there are plenty of other shops that are just as friendly and professional for much less. more

Friendly Staff 3/15/2007

I can't say I'm an expert on piercing places but I have been to a few and this one was by far the cleanest environment I'd ever seen. The piercer, Nick was extremely helpful, patient and informative. We never felt rushed or unwanted and we were there for over an hour. Overall the experience was a very positive one and if I ever find myself in need of another piercing, I would definitely consider driving from Seattle again. And I found the prices to be pretty reasonable. Pros: friendly staff, clean studio, reasonable prices more

Excessively expensive 3/10/2007

We were charged at least twice as much as any other piercing parlor. My friend and I pierced our earlobes together and ended up paying 80 dollars total. We paid 40 at Black Hole for our other earlobe. The 80 breaks down like this: 20 for 2 piercings, 40 dollars for jewlery that cost about a dollar online, and 20 dollars for aftercare that we didn't need. The aftercare consisted of these spray bottles with saline solution inside. I could have made my own with seasalt and water and it would have cost 50 cents, not 20 dollars. Not only was this place expensive, but the piercer found a way to scratch both our ears (to the point where where there was blo od) at places other than the the piercing, and get our ears to excessivly bruise, which I have never encountered. So, as a review, if you want to to go here, bring your own jewelry, refuse the aftercare, and be prepared for an average piercing which you could get at any hole in the wall. Pros: Clean Cons: Very expensive, Poor piercing more

Fuck**g' A-----for awsome. 3/5/2007

I visited the shop apon recommendation, after about a week of fixating on surface rib piercings. I knew virtually nothing other than how I wanted it to look. They were so helpful and informative. The enviorment was sterile, and all my nerves were settled after I met my piercer NIck who was incredibly warm and professional. I'll definitley be going back :-) Pros: helpful, clean, nice Cons: ---- more

Love this place!!! 3/3/2007

I love this place, everytime I go I have a great experience. The entire staff is very helpfull and friendly and whenever my nerves get the best of me they do a great job of making me feel at ease before they poke me. I have been in three times to get my ears stretched and will most likely be back even though I said the last time would be the last....its a little bit addicting. Again I can't stress enough how great the staff is, very personable and friendly, they truely know how to make their customers happy and keep them coming back. Keep up the great work guys!!! Pros: very helpful, very friendly, and even send you thank you cards!!! Cons: if you don't have an appointment sometimes you wait a little bit more

Great staff 1/30/2007

I took my daughter in for a nose piercing. The staff was knowledgable and helpful. You can tell that they really like their work. As a father and a doctor, I was very impressed by the sanitary conditions. They were very careful about using new equipment and we were given excellent instructions for home care. If my daughter gets another piercing, it will be here! more

I keep coming back for more, and that's because this piercing shop is the best in the business. Period. Pros: Service, Best after-care piercing information. more
